I think you guys are paying too much.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but many posts I'm reading here seem like lots of guys are getting taken advantage of price-wise. Perhaps you're worried about safety and you're going to areas where they take advantage of tourists? If you monger during the day, that might solve your problem. I do most of my mongering around the monument area and frequently pay $40 US tops for higher end service. Maybe $18 to $20 for really pretty SWs. There are plently of college girls that work for extra cash. Even if you get cheated, which is a risk in the DF, the bill still won't hit the triple digits by any means. Even a higher end Estetica where you'll get a drink and a massage, GFE and more time than you need should NOT cost more than $600 pesos tops. ESPECIALLY for gringos who have been brought up with the bad habit of tipping too (seriously it's bad, you shouldn't tip no matter how guilty you feel, it's bad for everyone involved in the long run) you're already a mark and it is OK to stand up for yourself so your total out of pocket stays in the double-digits dollar wise.
Puente de Alvarado Police Extorsion
There is at least one report on a DF monger site that the police have been known to extort mongers leaving hotels after sex with SW. Not much more info was given. http://boards1.melodysoft.com/SEXOMEXICO/puente-de-alvarado-144111.html?GeneralOffset=172800
Negotiating in La Meche (La Merced)
I read a post yesterday from a guy who had paid 130MN (10US) in one of the many cheap Puebla "spa"s. He said "The girl was just like I like them" and then he ran on for a full page about the miserable experience he had had, and evidently so had the girl.
The girl was just like he liked them and if he had known how to negotiate, they probably would both have left happy. So here are hints on how to deal with streetwalkers. Make appropriate adjustment for outcall escorts and incall spas. (Prices are approximate, to the best of my recollection for La Merced).
1. You must understand that the "cafeteria plan" is standard for low-end sex trade in most of México. You approach the girl and ask "Cuánto?", she will respond with the same price as that of 99% of the girls on the street, regardless of looks. "Ciento setenta" (170MN or $13US). This is usually the base price for a 15 minute lift her skirt, missionary quickie. Expect the girl to want more money for additional services, that she wants as much as she can get from you and that she wants your business.
2. Understand that under the cafeteria plan "besos" means pecks, it is the rare gem that will french. Nearly all insist on condoms for BJs."Time" unless otherwise negotiated means the time negotiated to come and if you come earlier, the 30 minutes is over. This can work to your advantage if you have negotiated a BJ. She'll mouth you over enthusiastically if she thinks she can bring you quick and get back on the street. Desnuda is extra, caricias (petting) is extra, multiple positions is extra. Everything is extra. Of course, everything is negotiable for a price that is acceptable only to her.
3. Lie. If she thinks you are there for a period of time (a month or more) and she might get repeat business, you might get a better price and very probably will get better service.
4. Size up the girl from the first moment and with each response. If she isn't enthusiastic, don't be encouraged by her boobs alone. If she doesn't seem happy with you and the deal, don't expect enthusiastic service.
5. Come to a clear understanding of the services expected for the established price. Do this on the street, before you go to the room. Then repeat it, the price and services expected. I can generally come to an understanding for 30 minutes, nude, BJ, with caricias, besos, posiciones and room for between 300 to 350MN ($23-27 US).
6. If it isn't right, walk away nicely. Say something nice like: "Lástima! No puedo. Tan preciosa pero no tengo más." She may come down as you leave or when you see her later. There are plenty of fish in that sea.
7. Tip to the quality of service and your budget, especially if you want a repeat.
8. Post here your experience. I can never remember the names by the time I get around to posting. I have had the full range of experiences in La Meche and cherish even the bad ones that gave me lessons worth far more in the long run than the $23-$27 spent.
Add these terms to your basic Spanish (Feel free to cut this from a quote reply and add more-within reason- and please correct my errors)
Anal- sexo anal.
BJ- oral, bucal or mamada.
BBBJ- oral sin condom.
Cuántos posiciones- how many positions?
Cunnilingus. I say. Me permites chupar la concha? (But NEVER at La Merced)
Includes hotel- Incluyendo hotel?
I hope this helps. Then again, maybe that guy in Puebla was what I imagine the girl muttered as he left: "Pinche tacano".
Puente de Alvarado Police Extortion
There is at least one report on a DF monger site that the police have been known to extort mongers leaving hotels after sex with SW. Not much more info was given. http://boards1.melodysoft.com/SEXOMEXICO/puente-de-alvarado-144111.html?GeneralOffset=172800
The guy posts on 11/20/12 that police extortion continues around the Pte. De Alvarado area. He thinks his provider set him up, a gordibuena (nice & chubby) redhead that said she was from Tabasco. He does not discuss how much he paid them.
Maybe my "rules" about chasing streetwalkers should have included the obvious: When "shopping", never carry credit cards, valuables or much more money than you expect to spend. I've read on other boards that should this happen, stand your ground and politely don't give them anything, ask to be taken to the judge as they won't ever do that. Me, it happened to me once in Guadalajara. All I was carrying was a photocopy of my passport and 300MN. After they put me in the back of the squad car, I lied about where I was staying and "settled" with them for the 300MN.
Puente Alvarado borders this area on the south. It extends east from the Hidalgo Metro to the Revolucióand Metro on the west. The northern boundary is Mina, which changes to Heroes Ferrocarilles toward the west. Smack at the northern middle, on Mina, is the Cuahutémoc police station and courthouse, with hooker hotels all around it and very often hookers working the street.
This area is the tiniest fraction of what La Merced is and is full of trannies, especially after dark. I don't really recommend it at all.
If you have the time to stroll the area on Google street-view, you'll find two at Pte. De Alvarado at Zaragoza (the surest corner).
