I know I will most probably be flame for asking this question but what the heck...
Anyone has any recommendations on where to go Makati.
It is just too difficult to read or I am just lazy.

If so drop me a pm.

I guess strictly speaking I should post this in the Manila section, but I was staying in Makati and wanted to recommend the Oxford Suites Hotel. Nice, clean and good price, much better than anything else I've seen on P.Burgos street. only drawback is no pool, but very girl friendly.
To the mongering part: Had a pretty strange experience on P.Burgos when a young cutie offered a "massage" and I figured why not start the weekend off with a quickie. When we got to the room she had really heavy make-up and was totally unwilling to get un-dressed, while at the same time offering to do anything I wanted, soi she wdefinitely wasn't "shy". We were back on the street within 2 minutes and, in retrospect, I'm wondering if this wasn't a "lady-boy" experience. Anyone know if those are present on P.Burgos? Don't recall having read that before, but as always, buyer beware...
Moved on to the LA Cafe for the most part and managed to pull some pretty decent talent but no extraordinary experiences so I won't bore the members with the details.
Manila is still one of the best places to hobby IMHO.
do you have a link and how far is it to the nightlife as well i like to ask is it save?
I stayed at the Oxford last year and can confirm it is a decent hotel and reasonably priced also. My only gripe with the place was that the shower water was was barely lukewarm. It is located right in the center of many bars, so plenty of nightlife awaitng right outside the front door.
hey cap,
Yep, you just got sucked off by a guy.

The answer to your question is YES, there are many Ladyboys that hang around P Burgos street, not so much during the day but at night and as you are aware the streets are not very well lit. They are mainly looking for drunk guys who are not too fussed or aware of what they are actually getting.
The golden rule is when you meet someone never take them directly to your room, I suggest to a bar first to check them out, because its not just the ladyboys you have to worry about but the girls who are looking to rob you. Warning bells should be ringing when someone you meet on the street tells you they are in a hurry to get to your room.
A story I recall was one of the girls told me that a guy she picked up asked her if she knew of any ladyboys, she went back out and contacted a Ladyboy who went with her to this guy’s place and then once in the room this guy was so turned on by the Ladyboy ignored the girl and spent his time fucking the ladyboy.
So be careful out there!!
Anybody ever heard of this place? I think it might be in Manila/Makati, if so give me a pM or a location, do they have web site?
Thanx,
Spamhog
Dear all,
Please offer your advice (location, price, girl friendliness, swimming pool?) on the following:
Astor - Best Western
Oxford Suites
City Garden Hotel
Millenium Plaza
Regines Hotel
Citadel Inn
Saint Illian's Inn Makati
And one outside Makati - Copacabana Apt Hotel
These are all in the $40 range and I found them at Asia Travel or Asia Hotel. I don't need to be near any business area or anything as this is strictly a leisure trip.
Any comment will be appreciated.

Diver69
I stayed at the Astor in January. Basically, you get what you pay for. The pool is being re-built. Not all the rooms have hot water. It is girl friendly, across the street from all the bars on p.burgos. For $40.00, it's ok.
City Garden: Guest friendly, pool is on the roof and has a little jacuzzi part to it (cold water). There's also a gym. Location is right in the middle of the girlie bar action of Burgos. Also lots of eating places, travel agents, etc. It's a few minutes taxi ride through heavy traffic to Glorietta Mall, Greenbelt, etc.
Copacabana: It's been a few years but it was very guest friendly. Pool was good, don't remember much of a gym. It's right across the street from EDSA Entertainment Complex. A few minutes ride to Ermita and LA Cafe, Robinsons, etc. It's also a short walk to the EDSA MRT train which will take you to Glorietta, or you can just take about a 15 or 20 minute taxi ride.
I would recommend City Garden. New hotel and well locarted. Second would be the Astor Millenium Plaza, about $10 a night cheaper.

Actually, I stayed at the City Garden for a night and the jacuzzi was heated in the middle of the day. I didn't have time for the gym or restaurant and it is about 2 blocks away from Burgos.
I know the Best Western is across the street and I believe the Oxford is right in the middle of Burgos and perfect for mongerers in terms of location. I haven't stayed there so I don't know what the rooms are like.
