Escort King Has Me Beat at 7 for 7 (Getting Frisked at MDE)
I am 3 for 3 at MDE, NEVER been frisked arriving in Cali 7 times nor the two (maybe 3) times I have arrived in Bogota.
According to his own posts, Don has been to Medellin once and based on his CLAIM that he was not frisked, he now accuses me of being more interested in being "an internet personality" than in providing info. The fact that most everybody else who posted DID get frisked at MDE 9some 7 out of 7 times) suggests that Don is just, well, "special".
My point was merely to refute the guy who said he heard BOG presented the most hassles for international arrivals yet, like my comment on scooby's compilation, it provided a prextext for Don to resume his jihaad against me (which started when I called him for posting a racially offensive comment that violated ISG's code of conduct).
Back to substance now (hey Don: give it a rest and take out your aggression on your ex wife and her lawyer, not me!).
To avoid the hassles at MDE (Rionegro), if flying elsewhere within Colombia avoid Avianca and Aerorepublica and get a flight out of Olaf Heraya airport (10 minutes at most from Poblado) on a smaller local carrier like Aires (www.aires.co). For international flights you have no choice but to use MDE.
Quick Correction to Surfer's post
I spotted the correct website for Aires while I was in Medellin this past wkd. Had been searching for it for a while.

what is the best bang 4 the buck?
To all you experienced travelers:
What is the best way to spend 14 days? Travel to 1 Central American country, or make the tour to Columbia, Brazil, Central America? Or simply to 1 country: Thailand, Phillipines or Indonesia?
In reviewing all the great posts, I LOVE BEST the tall, olive skin women of Brazil & Columbia. But like most of you, I like just about everything. My past experienced were 4 trips to Costa Rica, so I am not a complete novice, but defintely not the experienced you all have.
Please help me with your experienced inputs. Any PM and/or US phone# to chat will be appreciated.
