Recently split from my ex, and planning my cherry boy trip to the Philippines in Nov. Been to Japan for some modest mongering, mostly before marriage, and recently right after the split. My general experience in Japan is that repeat business pays off big time in terms of service. This is true of Japanese business in general, not just the sex industry. But is the same true of the Philippines? If I BF a girl for 2 or more days, is the service better than one day or short time?
IMHO it is all about how you get along with the girl in the bar. If you take a little time you should get a feel of how she will act in the room. If you pick the girl and she doesn't respond to you in the bar, she will not in the room. Make eye contact and if she smiles and you buy her a drink, you can feel her out. LA Cafe is different. A lot of times you will get a girl who is shy in the room and doesn't know what to expect.
I have read a post by one guy who used an electronic stub from some airline and a one way ticket to enter Phil. Has anyone here done this, does it work?
Or am I going to have to book a separate flight out of the country to get around the 21 day tourist limit? 21 days is not enough for me to decide if I want to retire there. Any useful replies most appreciated.
Thanks

There is a separate thread dealing your question "Philippine Residency and/or Permanent Visa "
You can have multiple extensions to your tourist Visa. The first one upto 59 days and then in two months periods:

Not sure which part of Manila, but US news is showing people wading knee deep in water from the typhoon.
Hope every one is safe and dry.

I was delayed in Guam last night, Continental did not fly GUM MNL route so they put us up in a hotel which was nice of them, now in Dusit having sex with an 18 year old waiting for her friend to join us.
All is well for most parts; however my 30 year old mother of 6 can not get over here as she is stuck across the river. Hope she comes to complete our foursome tomorrow morning. In the mean time we are waiting a new girl to join our little Dusit Club :D
Haha been there. Dusit and that area is nice and high. Down near the water in Ermita, lots of flooding. I've been in taxis with water coming in the floor. Thats when you want to rent one of those tourist horse and carriages you see. They are about 3-4" off the ground.

Yeah I know but one girl is stuck across the river so I am affected by it...
Atleast the planes are landing and taking off now...

Thanks
You just need a ticket to show that you are going to leave the phils within 21 days, not necessarly a ticket back to your home. Just book a one way clark macau ou manila macau ticket, it should cost you about 1, 500 pesos if you book a cheap one.

An exit ticket from the Philippines, yes. But it doesn't need to be within 21 days. I have twice entered with an exit ticket for the 59th day and have had no problems with that (and obtaining an extension to the visa while there).
I am interested to know from anyone if it is possible to have a return ticket accepted for a Phils visiting period for longer than 2 months. Six months? One year?
It's been a decade, but I once used an "open" ticket which was valid for a year. In other words, I could arrange the return flight anytime within the one year validity of the ticket.
This doesn't exactly answer your question, but it's as close as I can get. X

Seems every time I go to the PI, I get in an argument with one or more Taxi drivers over the fare and use of the meter. Now I do believe I understand when "off the meter" is unavoidable. What gets me in a fighting mood is when I ask the driver, before we get in, "on the meter, right?", he says yes, and then maybe a block away, starts in with something like (fill in rediculous amount here).
This last one, we were returning to Makati from Ermita area, going with the traffic, and at about 4pm. I tell him to stop, I give him whats showing on the meter, and then the jerk proceeds to spend the next 15-20 minutes stalking us with his car, and trying to enlist the help of locals on the corners. It took way to long to get another car.
Meanwhile, I look like someone out of control to my girl, and any onlookers. I've nearly come to blows with drivers before. And this is in daylight, no drinking involved...
Need counseling...or maybe just hire a car and driver..

I feel your pain. I have had several incidents as well, most ending with me stopping, getting out and finding another taxi. This happens right when I get in the taxi. I don't shut the door and start moving until the meter is turned on or I agree on a price before leaving. I learned early on in my PI experience that you need to be stern and don't fall to the scam, which was taught to me by local foreigners and local filipina's both.
But after a while, sometimes I just don't care or need the fight over $1 USA Dollar. I know its the principle, but it's worth my extra dollar they charge me to walk into my next destination with a smile rather than pissed off with it on my mind. Just my opinion.
My advice, drink a beer, look over at the beautiful Pinay sitting next to you and take a deep breath. And say WTF? It would cost me $50 you. S in the states for this $3 dollar ride in the PI.
Peace out!

Just hire a car and driver. If the taxi driver decides to break the initial agreement en route there is nothing more you can do except politely tell him to stop and pay whatever is on the meter like you did. Remaining in the taxi and agreeing to be ripped off is not an option. The other option is to negotiate a flat fee from point A to point B off the meter before getting in. Wherever you go you'll always encounter slick cab drivers even here in the US.

" Hindi turista ako (I'm not a tourist) They may not think you are such a tourist. Can also say "Pare, paki hina-an radyo mo " Please turn down your radio. Otherwise accept they are out to screw you as you are white. But somehow it doesn't happen often to me, maybe as I speak to them a bit in my broken Filipino.
