Isn't is safe to come out of the water? Bets are off? Ban lifted?
Hey everyone,
I just arrived to Seoul. Will be here for about 2 weeks on business. Wanted to see if there was anyone out there to "show" me around. I am Korean American, but have never ventured out in my previous visits.
I am a bit dissapointed to read about all the crackdowns going on. Hanging out and drinking and even perhaps go to the Casino would be cool too. I am staying in the Shinchon area.
Dear all,
Thanks for the good information. I just visited Seoul and thought I could share some of my experience.
First of all, thanks for Seoul Man for help. But I didn't have time to wait for his female friend to arrive my hotel.
So I went out for hunting myself. It turned out that the Holiday Inn I stayed was very close to RLD Miari, Holiday Inn Seongbuk. It was just 5 mins walk. Yes, the business was slow. But you can still be approached my mamasam and then show you a hidden door to inside. I tried 3 different places. 60000 for one pop. All girls are quite good, if not the best. The service is unrushed but I couldn't speak korean and I was worried about LE.
I can't judge if it's safe or not. At least, I was safe. For those who didn't get any luck elsewhere, maybe it's an option for you to try Miari. I just think this RLD deserves its reputation.

Hey,
I was in a taxi driving back from Hongdae when I noticed plate glass windows with red lights on with several girls sitting behind them. Time was around 2:00AM. This series of "girls behind windows" were a block from an exit serving subway station 242. Not a cop to be seen and the girls where very easy to see, clearly visible from my taxi.
I'm not familiar on all the brothels locales, so I don't not know if this is a new one (doubtful) nor its name. I did not catch the exit number. As I was on a main road driving from Shinchon driving east towards downtown, this area would be on the right side of the street. This is the same road I believe bus line 163 (blue bus) serves. I had just drove past the Ehwa area and past a bar with a "London Pub" motif.
By the way, Seoulman's girl is very nice. Highly recommended. A GFE with DFK - nice.
So what's the deal in Seoul, guys? Are we basically taking a big risk to do anything in the current environment?
I'd really like to pay a visit to a sport massage place a Korean friend introduced me to when I was here last time, great experience. Is it safe to go?
If I do go I'll pay better attention to directions this time so I can share.
Not worth risking yourselves at this time. Go to the philippines or Thailand for the time being. This is a rumor and no evidence to back up, but I heard the gov is doing it because they need the money. Due to the current economic situation, gov can't tax biz as they used to. Retail biz is just going nuts and they needed to replace income somehow. Just get out of the kitchen when it's too hot.
Jigga,
No need to worry, as certain places are still open for business but just require a little more research (more like word of mouth). I can assure you that although the red light districts might be closed, the massage parlours are indeed open if your willing to shell out a little more cash, especially the Kangnam ones.
My Korean American friend also made a trip to Jang Ahn Dong this last weekend, the infamous massage parlour district, and came home with a smile. I am sure you can find these places so do not be too discouraged.
If your Korean speaking abilities are good too, then you should have a blast. All the taxi drivers know the spots as well so perhaps they can share some local insight.
Happy mongering.

Is Korea the desirable choice for visitors or those looking for fun times? I think not. Most of the time, Koreans are their own worse enemy. Many people I know make it a point never to buy any Korean products on principle. Why? They do not want to support such a rabidly nationalistic, xenophobic and mercantilist economy. Koreans are so predatory and nationalistic. They have a closed economy and a zero-sum attitude to trade. Protectionism in the early stages of an economy is not unreasonable. Dealing with Koreans is like dealing with bright adolescents. They're full of energy and want to do everything yesterday. But they throw tantrums and are prone to dangerous and erratic behavior if their whims are not indulged. In most countries, intellectuals become universal. You learn that great ideas and values have no national boundaries. What is profoundly disturbing is that Korean intellectuals become more xenophobic and nationalistic, and perpetuate the idea that all of Korea's problems are the result of willfulness by foreigners. This is the mark of a scoundrel. Korean society makes a sharp distinction between an individual's inner circle of family, friends and business colleagues, and outsiders. Members of the inner circle must always be treated with absolute respect and courtesy, while strangers are treated with indifference. Korean society is not egalitarian: a person's status is strictly defined in relation to others. How do foreigners fit into this scheme? The simple answer is they don't. Koreans however do want your money but once they get it, you are useless to them. Look at the Japanese that visit Korea. Many Koreans hate the Japanese, but to their faces, they welcome them because they want their money. Behind their backs, many Koreans are backstabbers. Same with visiting the RLD's.
It's strange. Visit Thailand, Philippines and elsewhere and the worst customers I am told constantly are Koreans. Especially the men. They treat others especially the women badly.
I live in East Seoul (just moved there, not familiar with the area). Anyhow, I do alot of hanging out around Itaewon area, but still have alot to learn, even though I have been here for 12 months. I am looking for working girls who are non-Korean, ie other Asian, Black or Latino. Does anyone know if and where I may find something like this? Thanks in Advance.
Cheers
Jaga
Although the purpose of the crackdown seems to be aimed at stamping out "Round Two" prostitution from room salons and other drinking establishments, my recent experience with visits to room salons in Bukchang-dong indicates that the prostitution has been pushed in-room to a surprising extent.
In the last two weeks, I have been to four Bukchang-dong room salons. In all of them, the sexual content of the "play" has increased. Basically, now the RS girls strip down naked and start sucking your cock within about ten minutes of getting into the room, and suck it on and off for the better part of 45 minutes (it's a basic 90-minute "course") before getting to the "show" finale. DATY, 69, and deep fingering are all on the table. But what has surprised me recently has been the frankness of the girls who at two of the establishments visited have said "We can't go to Round Two so we'll have to fuck here in the room."
Okay with me...

are you korean/american or ethnic asian??
sorry.. just curiousl.
seoulman:
Korean-speaking Caucasian.
(Gotta post fast due to server instability)
The answer is "sorta". All the stuff like ads for massage places, clubs, etc. are in full swing again. Cars are full of them. 588 looked to have action around 7pm Sat but the number of girls was noticeably less. There was a whole line of taxis and cars cruzin thru the alleys. It's possibly the selection would be better later at night and that the girls were still in prep mode. I wasn't shopping at the time so I didn't stay long.
You had great times in bukchang-dong.
The anti-prostitution law is still on-going but the raids seemed have stopped but still need to pay attention. After the law enforcement, I have been to turkish massage palour 2 times and they were all open which means now you can try any place where you want to go.
Seoulsurviver : fuck in the room means you really fucked her in the room? and did they allow to do it? I have been to bukchangdong about 20 times and have been to almost all shops in the main alley. some girls permitted me to fingering but not deep and no fuck. Round 2(in korean 2-cha) is possible at some room-salons but you need to check it before you go inside.
Well I decided to try the massage/An-Ma place recommended by Ball44 in Shillim around 9pm Sunday night. Ball44's directions are very good. I like Jang-An but it's kinda far for me to get to even though I like the "scrub and then full service" there so I was hoping Shillim would be a good replacement. Things were lookin good out of the subway exit. A large number of Business Clubs, Noraebangs, Notel-Motels, Dual-Barber poles, Saunas, etc. I found the place fairly easily but I noticed that the Dual-barber poles were not a spinnin. The small one above the doorway was still on. There was a young, tall, slim guy standing close by so I decided to walk around the neighborhood for awhile. I came back and this time the small barber pole was not on and the basement looked very dark. Darn a wasted trip! I'm not sure if Black October caused them to go out of business or maybe Sunday nights they close early.
I was kind of intrigued by all the Shillim Noraebangs and Business Clubs with posters of girls but my Korean isn't even good enough to order pizza over the phone yet so I ended up going home.
If anyone has any suggestions for An-Ma similar to the quality (scrub and then FS) and price (100kwon) of Jang-An An-Ma's but near Shillim, please post or message me the directions and I'll try to check them out post-Black October.
