KARON: -- Chalong Police are on the lookout for a bar hostess named “Poo” who broke the heart of a Swedish tourist – then added injury to insult by smashing a beer bottle over his head on New Year’s Eve.
Report of the incident was made by the victim not long after the attack, which occurred at around 1:30 am on January 1.
Swede Peter Kawe, 43, told police that he came to Phuket as a tourist late last year and had rented an apartment in Karon. He fell deeply in love with “Poo” – real name not reported – with the understanding that she was single and childless, he told police.
As patrons of the Seven Beer Bar celebrated the arrival of 2006, one of Poo’s friends told the Swede that not only was the object of his affection already married – but that she also had a child to support.
When the Swede confronted Poo to ask if this was true, she smashed a beer bottle over his head and hurled the broken remains at him, he said.
Covered with his own blood, the Swede continued to demand an explanation from Poo about why she had lied to him.
He only left the bar after Poo chased him out with a fruit knife, trying to stab him, he told police.
Pol Lt Col Anek Mongkol of the Chalong Police Station told the Gazette that if Poo could be found she would be arrested and charged with assault.

I am heading to Phuket in February and am wondering where the best places to go are this season. I have not been to Thailand for 18 years so I am looking forward to this trip. Hoping I can get some good info off this site to make my trip go smooth. I will be diving most days so I don't want to stay out until 2:00 AM every night.
Any sugestions out there?

well i guess it has to be patong beach, severely hit by the tsunami, it seems to be getting up to speed slowly but surely. hotel availability i believe is still good. as for places to go, i tend to stay around soi bangla, for fl i like to head to the taipan disco at the end of soi bangla.
Is any good massage parlor in Phuket?
Thanks
I was in Baan Thai (Patong beach on the beach road) a few days ago..... Going back with a girl at midnight I was followed by a guard who knocks at my door violently asking at the talkie walkie for additional guards .... I felt as a robber in an hotel where I am paying 5 000 bahts a night... the guard was asking for an additional 500 bahts for the GUEST... I was forced to go at the desk and to pay the FINE... 500 bahts... I tell them loudly that it will be my LAST VISIT IN BAAN THAI... Furthermore expansive for a poor quality...
Forget these types of ripp off... not very guest friendly.
Kekeke,
ST with Thai lady: B200
ST hotelroom for me and Thai lady: B80
Condoms and lube: B20
Seeing others pay B5000 for a room and B500 guestfee: PRICELESS!
Sorry to hear your experience in this hotel. I have nothing but good things to say about my stay there. I went there in early Sept 05 and got really good deal on room and never had problem bringing girl back. Maybe I was just lucky. Hope next time you find better time there. I am going back middle of Feb but maybe try some place different this time.
What I understand so far from my research.
Taipan seems to be the best place for FL's.
Christines is the only soapy massage in Patong, I hear the quality of girls is not to good.
Rockhard as far as I can tell is the biggist Ago-go with the most girls, party place.
Flash Ago-go has the best looking girls.
Still need to get a grip on what is the best beer bars with the best BG's?
I would be interested in some opinions on this, I'm sure there is as many opinions as beer bars.
I advise members to steer clear of this Hotel. Staff very rude, and tried to charge me 1000bht for a guest after I was told (when I made the booking) there was no guest fee.
Freeler... IMHO two solutions :
- You are so handsome that girls are fucking for almost free with you
- Your girls are so ugly that they cannot ask for more money.
Of course I assume solution 1.... Personaly, with my average level... I fuck for 1000 bahts (Long time in Pattaya) ... 1500/2000 bahts (LT in BKK or Phuket).. you are the KING of Thailand !!!
All,
These are my thoughts having just returned from Phuket a couple of days ago.
I agree that a good place for Freelancers is Tai Pan or Tiger Disco's.
The normal beer bar's are all located in an area around Bang La Rd to the North End of Patong Beach. The quality of ladies varies enourmously. Word of warning ... there are several Lady boys around .... That tall stunning looking girl of your dreams .... might not be !!
As for Prices, I found that they varied enourmously ... it really depends whether a girl likes you. I was working on a cute cute "serving" girl in one of the bars... After a week I had never seen her leave with anyone ... but its Thailand, so you know NOTHING is impossible !!.
After 3 more days I persuaded her and she only wanted dinner and 800B for LT. She was superb the full GFE and more !! Sometimes the long game and not turning up in a bar with a new girl everynight pays off.
Good luck and enjoy
The Summit

Tell you what. Next time stay at a budget hotel. No extra charge for guess: )believe me.
poupard (pooper:(?),
not to [CodeWord140] you off or anything, but my regular phuket hotel costs b250 and they don't even know what a joiner fee is. in fact, they told a waitress from a nearby restaurant (food b20-40) where my room was when she wasn't sure of the roomnumber. she serviced me free of charge. the next morning the big eared receptionist, a lovely 20 yo with a wedding wish, asked me if i've had fun.
yes, i had:).
unlike you:(.
advice:
quit going to expensive hotels, pay b800 max, but b400 max is better:), and you will see no trouble whatsoever.
nicky nicky,
hear, hear!
