Siem Reap Prices
It has been almost two years since I was last in Siem Reap, but I paid $10 short time. If I remember correctly $5 was also available but I paid a bit more for some extras. There are several small brothels around town in the 'original' Kmer style - basically a shack. The only one for which I can remember a location was near the Golden Temple Villa - a cheesy tourist hotel in which I stayed for $15/night. This house was across the street on the way out, I think few hundred feet towards the main street.

Latest update: As the last intel was 2 years ago.
I just left SR and the Golden Temple Villa is all the way at the end of this little street. Along the way to the villa (to the right) there will be 3 "massage" places that opens almost all day and nite..(all 3 are bunch together--- If not sure which is the massage places that offer all options, just go after sunset (about 6pm) and these places all have this dim pink lighting to them. I walked in to all 3 places but the quality was either bad to just so-so and I passed on all 3 places. I did check on prices so Neg. prices can get massage + FS for about $15 and $10 for FS without the massage.
Note: the Khmer brothels across from the hotel/villa are no longer there. They have all become local stores for selling water/cigarettes or food places.
As I'm still in Cambo now, and dont really have the time to post reports, I will try to give more details when I return home and have more time to write.
In siem riep this is an option as well, numerous freelancers at martinis and places like zone one have cute beer girls.
I have read some discussion on which Martini was better, the one in PP or SR.
Since I just been to both, Here's My opinion (agree or not as its just my thoughts only),
The Martini in PP is much better.--IMO
1)Bigger place with much more to see and do
2)Many more and therefore better selection of FL (over half the gals at SR Martini had their boyfriends or friends with them)-more difficult to separate the players from the non-players. Most of the gals in PP were players.
3)Not as dark or loud as the one in SR--sometimes it was so pitch dark there I was stumbling over everyone's foot.
4)Prices for FL --they tend to ask much higher prices in SR (richer tourist visit I guess) and bigger hassle to talk prices down to earth.

Hotel in SR
Just a quick plug for the Golden Orange Hotel in SR. I stayed there for a couple of nights and really liked the place. The western owner takes care of the place like it should be taken care of. The staff is great and the place is new and clean. They have a nice outside bar and the neighborhood is safe.
Very good place to stay

Shamas, we think alike. I just logged in to mention the Golden Orange Hotel in Siam Reap. It's touted by the Flamingo Hotel in Phnom Penh, that's how I heard about it.
$20 + tax, for aircon, TV with good cable, fridge, brkfst, free pickup from the airport or bus station.
The owner, Doug is from San Francisco and Austin, Texas. He runs a tight ship. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a 15 minute walk north of the market and the nightlife area, but closer to Angkor Wat. I walked often, and took Tuk Tuks.
Doug couldn't have been more helpful to me. Answered every question and took me on his moto or in his car about 6 times to run errands, get money, but airline tickets, go looking for P4P or for dinner. He knows every place in town and is willing to share info.
The bar has a computer with 25,000 songs, so I spent a few nights sipping drinks with Doug, playing music and meeting some of the regulars at the bar. Several internet computers with Skype (allows international phone calls for very cheap-need to subscribe).
Favorite place for girls in Siam Reap was Blue Wave. Went there twice. Met a Kmer girl named Shwalee, or something like that. Said she was 27 with no kids, but I thought more like 22. Only 20 words of English, but a great attitude and sense of humor.
First time I took her home for the night, $25 fixed price to the bar, plus I gave her some taxi money. She was very happy.
Second time, I took her to the back room of Blue Wave. Pretty clean, shower, not bad at all, $15. It showed up on my bar tab: 2 Rum and Cokes = $5, Other = $15. Afterward, she fed me peanuts, snuggled, laughed, spoke in Kmer, and we enjoyed ourselves while we waited for Doug.
I'd recommend Hotel Golden Orange.
As for the temples of Angkor Wat. I've always wanted to see them, and I finally got my chance. I have to say that I've seen so many temples in the last 25 years, that I'm sort of templed out. I really wasn't that impressed. I'm only speaking for myself, but 4 hours was enough. Others that I talked to spent a full day or parts of 3 days.
Actually, one of the highlights of Siam Reap for me was the hot air balloon view of Angkor Wat and surroundings. It only costs $15. It's located between Ankgor Wat and the airport. You take a Tuk Tuk, he'll wait to take you back to Siam Reap, for about $3-5 round trip.
You don't have to enter the Temple Area ($20) to get to the hot air balloon. It doesn't float freely, it's always tethered to the ground. Total time 10 minutes to go up to almost 500 feet and a pretty good view of the temples about 2 miles away.
On to Laos. I know things will slow down there,

Zone One niteclub
If you are near Pub st then its Located on a small st. to the north near the road to the airport. Better to take a motodop as its about a 15min walk in total darkness on some of the streets to get there.
The place is a little better than Martini (at least the one in SR). This is more a local's place so many Khmer here and didnt see any foreigners other than myself there. But friendly enough atmosphere so no need to worry here. The pick up of FL at Zone One was about same as SR's Martini--about half were there for your money and other half with friends on nite out or with boyfriends. Downside: the ones there for your money were not cute as compared to the unavailable ones--there were some stunners but all had Khmer boyfriends (or perhaps the Khmer boys hired these gals out). I say boys as they all look under 20 or less.
The only reasons its better here is that:
1) Its a much more fancier place than Martini
2) the music is not as loud here
3) better lighting--not as dark so easier to check the gals out
4)there seems to be about 5 gals (hostess) when you 1st enter the door--not 100% sure what the going rate was as the one time I visited here there were no Mama or Pappa around at the time to ask for pricing and policy details on the gals. (Tried speaking with the gals themselves but didnt know enough english to respond well).--like I said, more a local place. But from previous post--there maybe a bar fine involved along with the price for gal.--not 100% sure as no Mama to answer any of my questions at the time.

We think alike ? My god man get help, lots of help right now! Mix your medication with lots of booze and see if Dr. Phil can work you in. He's actually gay and quite kinky. Another story for another board.
Doug and the Golden Orange provide a nice oasis for our type of traveler.
Dboy, where is the Blue Wave located in SR?
Thanks,
I popped in there 2 weeks ago about 8pm, had the place to myself and not one of the ladies there did anything for me, Maybe the good ones had yet to arrive or were busy in the st rooms already. The bar opens at 6pm.
little difficult to read on this map, might need to save it and then you can enlarge it.

but walking north on Sivatha blvd past dead fish tower ( where I was staying)
hang a left at achamean street. Landmark is the hotel de la paix a very fancy and impressive place from the outside anyway.
The bar is a few shops down on the left side. The bar is not noted on this map. I saw the add in the Siem Reap Angkor visitors guide, free copies in most hotels and resturants.

Gohan39, thanks. I wouldn't have been able to remember the location. I should also clarify, I only went to one other place looking for girls, Zannzybar. It was pretty dead.
So Blue Wave may not be the best, but it worked for me. I'm sure others are as good or better.

siem riep
Pries being asked in SR are ridiculous,I was in le cyrcee in PP tonight and had the lovely girl in the room for 15 bucks all up and the koala bear tip.
Short timers from the walkabout and similar are stll 10 bucks.
I enjoyed zoneone in SR especially the beer girls but I always liked martini dancing better.
PP is great at the moment, many more girls than barang tourists.
Heart of darkness has some nice freelancers and the place just goes off all night....

First trip to Cambo
I will be in Cambodia next week. Probably at the Ivy Guest House. Any knowledge out there about this place? Take home friendly? I am not a big time monger and prefer to have things come easy. Any of the massage places close to this guest house?
Anyone know the likelyhood of the staff calling in for an in room massage like some other hotels mentioned in this thread?
Thanks for any thoughts,
Wham.

I pass by Ivy GH when I was in SR recently (actually there are two places with this name) Ivy GH and Ivy-2 GH, both are near each other. Location is good as its near all the bars but didnt go inside to see any of the rooms so you need to find out when you arrive. Its only about a 10min walk across the bridge to Martini disco and the brothels about 300-400m further pass Martini. Negotiate hard as the take out prices at the brothels are quite high when you first ask. Martini FL are usually good to go all nite for $20.
