i was in malawi from 16th june till 30th june 02. i went to kasungu about 100km north of the airport on the main road to tanzania. i know the country well having lived here for 15 years on and off.
sex is as easy as falling off a log because you are a tourist and a walking bank. every girl you meet wants to marry you, stay with you, be with you, be seen with you. it is the pinnacle of their dreams to be seen out or with a european or better still an american. just choosing a sex partner is hard as so many abound. free sex is the norm for the likes of us visitors. i dont mean pros either i mean the maids, super-market check-out girls, shop girls, nurses, you name it they are yours . i was like a kid in a sweet shop and my supply of viagra was greatly diminished.
at the kasungu inn a tourist hotel there was the usual 20-30 pros on parade not so good ones as the free ones. all seem to have had kids. the going rate is about 500 kwatcha which is £ 3 -70p or $5-80c. the hotel is girl friendly between breakfast and 10pm after which a fee is charged, they assume she will be there all night and charge for her breakfast. room service is £0.40p or us 58 cents extra (breakfast in bed full english one too) per night its £12 or under 18 dollars us.
100 metres from the hotel is a hospital with over 90 nurses some good ones too, all available for the price of a meal of good food . at present there is a food shortage and the priority for all the girls is food!!. in the city its the same but the number of pros are beyond counting and are a nuisance and statistics show all are hiv positive. they never give up and its a constant change of girls in the vacant seat next to you. just shake the head and they go but its easy to end like a noddy dog with shaking it for hours during a few beers or a meal.
the english spoken is of a high standard. aid organisations say a proper famine is coming to malawi so i cannot see the situation getting any better.
by lake malawi where most tourists go the girls rush to get you when the car is still in motion!! many are well **** hardly having any tits but if anything it is possible to have too many women fighting for you fuck. it is getting bad now as all towns are just like this at the moment, i.e. girls giving themselves for food . its putting the pros out of business big time . remember, i did not create the system, but yes i use it and enjoy while it lasts.
Hello "e-mail" !
I'm an Africa fan myself and your report is intriguing.
I have two questions which only someone who was there recently can answer:
Is there a food shortage in restaurants and tourist places, or is the famine only a question of the poor people not being able to afford the prices?
What about the logistics of money? Is changing money a problem or a hassle?
Thanks in advance

Here in my office we have a visitor from Malawi, a government official who is visiting the U.S., who left Malawi Sunday evening and arrived here in the the US on Monday evening. Since it's now Wednesday morning, this is about as recent info as you can get.
So, in answer to the questions by xxl:
- there is NO food shortage in restaurants and tourist places. The famine is a problem only for people in the remote rural areas and the poorest people living in the cities. But if you're planning on going into the countryside for a day trip or for the weekend, you may want to bring some food with you just in case.
- if you have U.S. dollars, British pounds, South African Rand or another well-known foreign currency and you want to change into the local Malawian currency, you should never have a problem - all of the foreign exchange bureaus will be happy to do business with you. The only problem might be if you have changed too many dollars, say, into the local currency, and then at the end of your stay you want to convert the local curency back into dollars, that you might occasionally experience a problem in getting enough foreign currency. So the solution here is to change smaller amounts of foreign currency regularly into Malawian currency (say $50 at a time), that way you won't be stuck with a lot of local currency at the end of your stay.
Have a good trip, and be sure to post a report here on WSG when you return!
I arrived in Malawi on the 15th january 03 from UK and went straight up country to Kasungu which I know quite well its about 120k from the airport going Morth. It is the wet season and a bridge was washed out meaning a big detour, never mind I got to my hotel at 9pm. A quick shower and I was ready for action. Went into the bar and was disappointed with the selection, all seemed to be tired and quiet I had a meal and went to catch up on some sleep, alone.
Next morning I did some business then headed up town for lunch and sure enough a nice waitress came over and we chatted. She got off at 2pm and climbed into my car, back to the hotel for some good sex, simple and quicker than I take to write this. She was say 7/10 18yrs and keen to make an impression and she did, no money mentioned and none given except use of my room and bath, after shave, and good food. She left at 9-30pm before I would of had to pay extra 2$, 10pm deadline!!!!!!.
Next day did more business then went into a shop and chatted another decent looking prospect and followed the same pattern when she finished at 5pm. She was really up for it and went from the word go only stopping to eat steak and chips. Outside of town, say 6 k they are eating leaves and forest fruits to stay alive, but food is readily available if you have cash but most do not and struggle to eat until the maize is ready in a few weeks.
I went to Mzimba which is another 120km north and before we checked into the rest house (small hotel) the African I was with was approached and offered for my enjoyment a nice one of 18 yrs. Her father took the money, about $4.50 and she went like a maniac for a couple of hours. I gave her the same ammount for herself and she seemed shocked as in fact I was paying twice. She was just an unemployed girl whose family were looking for money to eat with. I fed her and away she went all smiles and I warned her against letting her father know as her share would be also seized!!!.
This sort of thing is as easy as picking berries walking along a country path. A bit boring after a while really as its a no contest as regards the finding of girls, its harder to choose which one actually bearing in mind you cannot service all??? In my opinion Africa in general is getting poorer every year and am afraid many of the girls on offer were way below age, and to get a school girl for sex is as simple as any other age group and only my own scruples stop me but it is plain to see lots of males seem to go for these small ones around the 12-13-14 mark. Whenever we left a bar or restaurant many what I would call kids were hanging around for pick-ups, but poverty is the driving force, however thats Africa from one end to the other. Makes me sad if i think too much, more exploits later.
Hi all,
I am normally just a lurker, but I really have to comment on this Malawi nonsense that is being spread, in case any of you out there actually want to go to Kasungu. I have just spent a month in Africa, and I went through Malawi, including Kasungu and Mzimba, and I can tell you that what email is posting is completely untrue. There is extremely little action in Malawi, and Kasungu is nothing but a stopover town. I am an early-thirties white American male, and I can say without a doubt that anyone who goes to this place looking for chicks will be severely disappointed. I don't know why some people insist on treating this website like it is the penthouse forum, but a lot of these guys seem to get their laughs by spreading false information. I don't know if email is on drugs, if he is delusional, or if he is in fact part owner of the Kasungu Inn, but please take everything he says with a grain of salt. Some of these places can be expensive and time-consuming to get to.

[/i][/QUOTE]Sorry Dave, but unlike your "one month in Africa," I lived in Africa for over 7 years and still return there regularly for my job, and I have spent time in 32 separate African countries, and I can testify that Email's post is much closer to the truth than your post.
My only assumption here is that you are either a missionary or else someone who presented themself as a conservative family man, and that's why you never noticed that there are young ladies available almost anywhere you look or were presented with any opportunities. If you had dropped some comments about how nice looking the ladies were, I'm sure that you would have been introduced to one or more young lovelies at various times during your one-month stay. It's a social thing, and keep in mind that Africans have much less hangups about sex than we Americans - it's seen as a natural part of eveyone's life.
But don't worry too much, I doubt if anyone would make a special sex trip to Kasungu based on Email's post. There's simply no need - sex is easy to obtain everywhere in Sub-Saharan Africa.
On my arrival back from Malaysia I checked the Africa reports and found one in the Malawi section from dave 111. He must be blind or a priest or something not to see all the ladies in the shops etc who are quite beatifull and available. I visit this part of Malawi regularly on business and have never ever promoted it as an undiscovered Bangkok!! However, I thought the purpose of the site was to help each other when we are travelling around this planet. as to be a part owner of the kasungu inn , well I wish!!.
This inn is of good standard and the only one for 140 miles. en suite rooms and waiters wearing bow ties! All business men use it for many miles around and all passing trade also as it stands on the main route from Dar-es-salaam to Cape Town. However when you have met a girl there is no other place to go but the Inn for a decent meal etc. so his one month race through Africa was a waste of time and money. If he had stood still for a few minutes he would have been overwhelmed by girls, as he says he is a thirty something white American, just what they dream of meeting! So I say again to Dave open your eyes and smile, be pleasant, slow down, and the whole place is yours, free!.
In conclusion I agree no one would go to Kasungu for a vacation or sex orgy, but we who work in and around Africa do enjoy whats on offer. As Frank says it is so easy to get sex from good ones all over Africa that really we Africa travellers just dont see it as a problem at all, the hardest part is choosing and the next is stamina!
PS. I had a great time in KL AND LANGKAWI ISLAND
The thing about Africa ...
is that it's not the kind of place where everything is on display.
It's a place that grows on you and the possibilities of which get more with time, not less. Just the opposite of gaudy places like Thailand or Brazil where you have hundreds of places to go from day one but where disapointment creeps in after a while because the places are basically all alike and you feel that you only get what the local men are willing to let go to foreigners.
The problem is one of time. I'm sure even African countries which have little to offer to the single man on a two-week vacation become a paradise if you stay months or years and have time to get organised. Getting organised means, among other things, solving problems like where to bring the girls other than to overpriced hotels where you stick out like a sore thumb, which girls are fair game and which may cause trouble, who can be trusted as middle-(wo)men and how to deal with all sorts of hassle that befall white men in poor countries. If you stay there long enough, once you get the ball rolling more girls will come your way than your poor cock will be able to handle.
But that is a different proposition alltogether than a week-long sex-spree.
This being said, I agree that some reports posted earlier give the impression that Malawi is an undiscovered Bangkok of sorts, which I can't confirm or deny since I have not yet visited the place.

About 30% of women of reproductive age and essentially 100% of prostitutes ("bar girls") in Malawi are HIV positive. Even with condoms, I just would not touch a bar girl in that part of the world any more. Go for the teachers and nurses, if it's really that easy (I doubt it). Be careful.
Mario-x,
Your quote : "About 30% of women of reproductive age and essentially 100% of prostitutes ("bar girls") in Malawi are HIV positive."
So 100% of bar-girls should be dead or dying five years from now. How come some places in Africa get boring after a time because you keep meeting the same girls year after year after year? 50% of the girls in Abidjan's discos are the same now as in 1999, only they're five years older.
I just want to point out that AIDS figures are often unrealistic when it comes to Africa.
If hospital managers there get 500 dollars in aid from the United Nations for each patient who succumbs to HIV and 5 dollars for each malaria victim, after a while all corpses in the morgue get a nice HIV tag attached to their big toe.
xxl
Dear xxl:
I think we've had this discussion before, so I'll keep this short.
While Mario-X is quoting inflated HIV/AIDS statistics, and he is being overly cautious in stating that one should avoid all bar girls, the basic point is correct, which is that HIV/AIDS statistics in Africa are high enough that all mongers should use a condom and be carefully when having sex with ANY bar girl or other somewhat promiscuous girl in Africa.
The precise statistic is not important, as it doesn't matter if the percentage of HIV+ bar girls is 100%, 50%, 30%, 10% or even only 1%, we mongers need to be careful these days. HIV/AIDS is a serious problem in Africa whether people want to admit it or not.
And the above applies to all working girls everywhere in the world, not just in Africa, but to the US, Europe, China, etc. as well.
By the way, your Cote d'Ivoire illustration helps to prove the overall point. 50% of the Abidjan bar girls are still around, but the other 50% are not. They probably didn't all die from AIDS, but certainly some did.
The southern city of Blantyre (pronounced Blant - eye) looks more like an European / north American city than an african, and is the best place in Malawi for pro`s, enough to keep you busy for a few days anyway.
Most of the action is centered around the Le Meriden Hotel and the a joining sports bar. During the week the bar can be quite, but the weekends or if there's a live band playing its pussy heaven (quality between 3 - 8).
Pro`s normally ask for 1000 kwacha (115 kwacha = $1, 200 kwacha = £1), but will accept 500.
I did pay as little as 240 ( yes, a little over a pound !!!) and as much as 1000 of a PSE (tip included).
For the few people who have jobs in Malawi the pay is around 1500-2000 per month, so even 500 seems too much !
Malawi is an average mongering destination, very few 8, 9 and 10s in Lilongwe and Mzuzu but its fun picking up the local girls along the coast. Most of these girls do smell a bit and getting them to take a shower before you poke them can be a task.
Unless your tying in a beach holiday or game viewing, there's better places in africa for pro`s.
Its a different story if there is a famine (see previous posts).
The last famine was the fault of the government and mismanagement is the reason for the rising cost of living for Malawians today. Cows

You say there a better places in Africa to monger.
Can you list the best 5 and why in your opinion they are the best?
Regards.
Blastoff
Well Blastoff - I was suprised to see an entry into Malawi - I thoght that maybe at long last there had been some action there !
Anyway - for my input - I'd say:
1 Uganda - closely followed by:
2 Ethiopia
3 Kenya
4 Tanzania
5 Malawi
The reasons being :
Uganda - beautiful women, always willing, so many to chose from...
Ethiopia - same - but the ladies seem to be shyer & less talkative
Kenya - less good looking , more expensive than 1,2
Tanzania - same as 3 - but going down the scale !
Malawi - not enough to chose from !
