Guys,
Feel free to ask me any question right here on the thread than private mail. So everyone can know the answers.
I visited Caracas more than 15 years ago. As soon as the regime changes, I would like to visit again.
Thanks for posting updates. I have couple of questions:
1) Why do you say that "official" Airport Taxi is safe? The Taxi Driver can be in cahoots with someone.
It is easy for these Drivers to take the newly arrived passenger to a remote spot and loot their belongings.
2) How receptive are the regular girls you see on the street and in the stores?
Since Venezuela is in a crisis, I would think that these regular girls would be looking to make money on the side?
Looking forward to your updates. Thanks!
Most hotels have their fleet of taxis where the guys are vetted.
I used taxis at hotel Eurobuilding per hour at almost 1.5 usd / hour at my disposal.

For hailing a taxi at the airport, you have a official taxi queue and these guys are safe. The cost os 4000 BS / hour.
Guys,

Questions asked:
A) Why do you say that "official" Airport Taxi is safe? The Taxi Driver can be in cahoots with someone.
It is easy for these Drivers to take the newly arrived passenger to a remote spot and loot their belongings.
Answer. You are right. There is no fixed rule, that these guys are 100% safe. But many well to do and educated locals told me those drivers are safe. Also I "tested" them on myself. Maybe I was lucky but they took me safely. All of them had ID cards and other forms of ID very promptly displayed. One morning I had to go to the airport in Caracas and the hotel did not have their own fleet of "vetted" taxis. I was surely going to miss the flight. So I used "easy taxi" app and the driver was super sweet chap. He drove really fast and just got me to the airport in nick of time. I tipped him him 500 pesos and he was super happy.
What I did not do- I never hailed a random taxi from the road. Eg If I went to a mall. I used those guys standing in the official queue at the mall. Again. No fixed rule that they are 100% safe. But it was fine.
2) How receptive are the regular girls you see on the street and in the stores?
Since Venezuela is in a crisis, I would think that these regular girls would be looking to make money on the side?
Answer. I mentioned in one of the posts that its a good place to find a trophy bride. Generally, I felt lot of hot girls have already left the country for better pastures or already with a rich man. I did not try flirting with the local girls in supermarkets. I was too busy with work (I travel to Venezuela regularly for work and in my off time, I do all these things). When I had off time, I was busy with hookers. But if you go there for 1-2 months and only with purpose of finding a regular girl and have some game. I am 100% sure you will find what you are looking for.
3) Thought I catch a ride with him to Caracas for a visit. Do you have time to be a guide? If so what day is best for you?
Answer. I am sorry, I do not work as a guide. But I have gained a lot of knowledge by reading posts here. If there is any specific information you need to make your trip safe and pleasurable and have some specific questions. Feel free to ask. But no. Sorry - I can not be your guide.
Hope my replies, were helpful.

The cars (4 x 4) are bullet proof, tinted glasses.
After I go over the initial scare, I started using Easy Taxi app on my cellphone. At almost 75 cents a journey.

For airport pick up, the hotel can also organize a pick up at 4000 BS / hour but you must give them money before hand via credit card. I recommend come what may, never give credit card details to a hotel in Venezuela. You may get ruined for life. A bill of 50 usd may appear as 50,000 usd on yr credit card statement! (yes, I am not exaggerating).
I also have names of many taxi drivers in my phone book whom I used when I was there. They all want business.
I also hailed a taxi at the airport of Barcelona (Venezuela) and drove to Caracas for 4 hours in the night (arriving in my Hotel Inn Caracas at 0300). I arrived in one peace. So its not so bad.
Just me so not worried about high-end, just rather be in the middle of things. If you have reasonable contacts for money exchange, accommodations, transport, etc, please PM me.

I would suggest to strictly avoid anyone who speaks English in Venezuela. They are the most corrupt and they are the ones who always understand that you have USD and price you accordingly and introduce you to people who will charge you accordingly knowing you have USD.
Anyone making a trip to Venezuela, send me a PM and I will introduce you to people.
But don't send me messages if you are making a trip after 3 months. Send me a message exactly 2 weeks before your planned trip.
I won't be giving any names or phone number here because of:
A) Privacy of my contacts.
B) I would like people to take subscription of the private messaging service so that Jackson can also benefit.
Those of you asking for a guide.
I do not know of any pussy pilot in Caracas. In Caracas, I strongly suggest to stay in a protected decent hotel and do only internet chicas who come to your hotel room. I strongly suggest not to go any place or bar or house to have a fuck.
I do know of a pussy pilot in a place called Punto Fijo (Paraguana. Near to Las Piedras airport). This guy loves taking people to girls. Its his hobby. However, this is a really small city. Very very cheap. Street hookers available for 1500 bolivars (1 usd).
Hope this helps.
August 10 2015: Caracas, Venezuela (AP) A prominent American expatriate lawyer was slain and his companion was wounded in an attack at their home in the Venezuelan capital, authorities and family members said Monday. John Ralston Pate, 70, was found dead Sunday in a well-to-do neighborhood of eastern Caracas, the South American country's public prosecutor said. He had lived in Venezuela since the 1970's and helped build up a once-thriving expat community. A justice official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to be quoted by the press said that Pate was stabbed to death.
Prosecutors identified the second victim as 67-year-old Sally Elizabeth Evans. Pate's son described her as his father's girlfriend and said she had been stabbed in what appeared to be a robbery or kidnapping attempt gone wrong at the elegant apartment building overlooking the city.
Venezuela is the second most violent country in the world after Honduras. Crime has risen steadily for years, and streets generally empty as night falls. The wealthy live in fortress-like compounds with security guards and surveillance systems, and even apartments in poorer neighborhoods often feature heavy doors with three locks. The Caracas expat community has shrunk as homicide rates rise and foreign companies pull out of Venezuela citing economic difficulties. He used to caution others to look out for their safety in this country where 90 percent of murder cases go unsolved, said friend Russ Dallen, a Miami-based partner at brokerage Caracas Capital Markets. "I think it broke his heart, the last five or 10 years, watching Caracas return to its jungle state of law," Dallen said. "Many of this country's successful people and not just foreigners like us have already left," he said in an interview published on the website of the nonprofit organization Global Exchange. "he was happy in Venezuela despite everything," the younger Pate said, "and he enjoyed it until the last minute. ".
I agree that English speakers that are not tourists usually make a full-time job of having you pay their way and get kickbacks, or possibly set you up. Avoid.

Finding a gorgeous trophy wife may be possible, but you will be risking your life. Your life for a wife?
But Caracas is only one city. I was thinking of visiting other cities instead, like Merida, Ciudad Bolivar, Santa Elena, and Maracaibo.
I see a lot of a online ladies hourly rate range 1500 bolivars to 10000 bolivars. Do there to up selling. I also see extra services like DFK, Greek, Russian, etc what prices do this extras cost.

And how much you have to pay for what service.
When negotiating internet girls, I would invite them over at the price they quoted. So if they quoted me 3500 bolivars, I would invite them and then offer them 7000 bolivars. If they quoted 5000 bolivars, I would offer them 10000 bolivars. If they quoted 10000 bolivars, I would give them 15000 bolivars. This way I got very good DFK, BBBJ, CIM, COF.
I never paid anyone more than 25 usd ever irrespective of any exchange rate I got. I never did 'toda la noche'. Usually 2 hour sessions.
Hope this helps.
