It is pretty bad when we are reduced to commenting on how slow the posts are. But lets consider the factors and how they have aligned to create a perfectly quiet thread.
- Crackdown, closing ShaZui the most active area and putting more pressure on Jusco drastically reduced the number of really good site to go
- Holiday Season, is typically a slow time with less buisiness travelers in town and less HK mongers coming over the border.
- Earthquake, cut the lines in Taiwan drastically reducing the bandwidth of internet connections.
Who would have predicted a few months back these items except for the holiday season. There are still plenty of places to buy sex here, they just are not the real buyers market that the old ones (ShaZui) were. Now there are only small shops in the various areas and a lot are not real FS types of places, and have mainly average looking girls. I predict that the business will come back some but not like before. It will be in new areas and maybe more sauna based like in other cities, which is a pity because I much prefer BBS as being less expensive and you get a much wider selection of girls whom you can chat up and look over before reaching an agreement. They were quick to get to for me and convienient, what is not to love about that!
I went out to check out an area that I thought might not be affected by the YanDa. The area behind the JingDuJiuDian near ShenNan road (between WanXiangCheng and ZhongXinGuangCheng) once had a pretty lively business but had declined over the years. Long time readers will note that this was the old big rack shop area. I guessed that since it is pretty well concealed and did not attracted the huge crowds that ShaZui was famous for, that it might have a good chance of being passed over, kind of like Moses but less family oriented. In fact my prediciton was correct that the area has indeed seen an increase in the number of shops and girls. Now mind you this is not a huge upsurge and that there are maybe only 10 shops in the area, but still nice to find it going well.
To find the area, you can go to the Oriental Regent Hotel which is near that triangle shaped Shenzhen DB bank building on ShenNan Lu. Go to the T section and cross the street. You should see a arch way to the main alley.
Went into the heart of Sha Zui, where they had the big crackdown. Went to a foot massage place at 1:00 am and rented a private overnight room and a short time girl for only 200 rmb. She was hot and the FS was good.
I was afraid that there might be a problem. However, I was with a trusted friend, a local chinese guy who knows the area and the language. He arranged it. I only had 300 rmb on me and a photocopy of my passport. Plus I locked the room from the inside. I was lucky, I had no problems, but I would not recommend it to others.
The streets outside were empty, all of the shops were closed.

I got across by KGR and took a cab from the Luo Hu customs to Sha Tsui at around 4pm. On the way there I was asking the cabby about the girls in Sha Tsui and he told me that they are all gone! He said that there is this new place very close to the eletronic mall where they sells a lot of cellphone where the girls now hang out. (Sorry I forgot the name of that place he told me). I didn't believe that Sha Tsui was cleaned out and so I asked him to bring me there anyways.
On arrival I walked down the streets but noticed immediately that it was so quiet. A lot of shops are closed, there were no girls walking on the streets or the backalleys. After walking for about 10 mins and going through 10 back lanes, I gave up and walked back to the main exit to grab a cab.
I asked this cabby about that "new" place but he did not know any. So I switched to another cab, after switching 4 cabs and none of them know the New place, I gave up and head for Luo Hu Area where I found the BBS posted by senior members.
My question now:
1) I am in Sha Tsui to early? 4:30pm.
2) Or it is the clean up really did it?
3) The new place, does anyone or seniors on the Shenzhen board know this place? Or is this cabby trying to bring me to a place and rob me?

I doubt the cabbie was trying to make more money form you for the taxi ride. Its not such a big trip by taxi to the area he mentioned. I have not been over there for some time but alot of Hong Kongnese live near there so it makes sense. The area is called Huaqiang Road which run North/South across Shennan Road. . Huaqiang Road is a major shoppping area in Shenzhen. On the Northeast and Northwest corner of Huanqiang (on Shennan Road) are two huge computer wholesale/retail centers. I am assuming the place your cabbie was referring to was the cell phone market which is 1 block East of Huanqiang Road on the south side of Shennan Road. That area seems like a good place to start looking.
I am uploading a map, I believe I labeled it correctly. Areas marked A, B and C are my best guesses where to look for play. Definitely would be easier to find at night.

No actually you are about 2 months too late. When it was active you would have found maybe 200 working girls in the area at 4:30 pm.
2) Or it is the clean up really did it?
The authorities have indeed decided to close the area down to prostitution. No joke.
3) The new place, does anyone or seniors on the Shenzhen board know this place? Or is this cabby trying to bring me to a place and rob me?
Don't know for sure which area it is as Shenzhen has dozens of electronic malls. Cabbies trying to rob you is so rare that it is very very unlikely, especially in the afternoon. Very likely you asked him a question and he gave you an opinion.

It could well be HuaQiangLu near ShaiGe Guang Cheng as LA surmised. I would think that would be a worse situation than before as ShaZui was a pretty good location for a red light district as it was out of the way and not near any tourist or shopping areas. You don't really get lost as wind up in ShaZui, but HuaQiang and ShenNan is a main shopping and transportation area with large number of tourists going though that area.

Did not know you were in town or I would have invite you to join us in CP.
So did you found anything in Luo Hu? May be you should post a report on your findings in Luo Hu so that it will make your report more meaningful.

I have fond memories of the "Big Rack Shop" when the big racked lao ban yang from CQ was there. All the girls had racks. Unfortunately, she caught her husband with his hands in the cookie or pussy jar, split and left him with the shop. He ran it into the ground and all the big rack talent moved on. Such a shame!

Hi all,
I am in Shenzhen China for work and have been looking for fun. There are tons of beautiful women walking around (the current style is knee-high boots and short skirts), but none of them working as far as I can tell. When I approach them they either turn away or just smile blankly. I don’t have Mandarin, and they don’t have English. Frustrating! It reminds me of that old sailor phrase: “Water, Water everywhere and not a drop to drink!” It seems like the crackdown of a couple of months ago did its job. There seems to be nothing happening the way it was described in the old reports.
Any tips for a New China Hand? I’m in the Panglin Hotel area at the moment (near the old hot spots), but I will be moving across town to the Futian District next week.
I will keep doing my investigative reporting to see what I can uncover. I will let you know what I find.
Hi Szepat,
I am looking for a wife in china - pretty and virgin.
Is your company able to find such a girl for me?
I am a chinese-american.
Thank you.

Its all around you especially near your hotel. the easiest way is to walk towards the border to hong kong and let a mamasan approach you and go with them into the governement controlled apartments (they really worry about any trouble as its gonna cost them the subsidized apt if anything happens then show them your hotel card and let them know by sign language you just want to take one back with you to the hotel its 200 rmb st paid to the girl. Found a great new place (one of three hotels starting on the 5th floor of a renovated building in the first alley way behind century plaza its in the same building at white horse sauna less than 200 rmb for a big new room(Top Star). No need to worry about stares from the security guard pissed off that he didn't get his 50 rmb cut at this place.

Sukhumvitter,
The old hot spot right in front of Seibu is gone for sure, but if you keep on going past the "East Hawaii Sauna", the alley BBS there still open after midnight.
Not to beat a dead horse, but crime in the US and China are very different and it is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. I had a hand phone stolen in China, and never had such types of issues in the US. In fact I know a lot of people in China who had phones or wallets stolen, and that type of thing I can not recall anyone having such an issue in the US. I know a number of people who have been in jail in the US but mainly for not following rules such as driving without a license or expired insurance. I think crime is more common in China but smaller scale, minor pickpocket stuff and petty crime. Serious crime is economic in nature in China while it is a combination of drugs and emotional issues in the US. Most murders here I think are related to 'business deals' gone bad, basically somebody wanted to pull some trick to steal money, but it went wrong. I think I saw on the Chinese language TV that they caught the guy who executed the guy named Lim over in HK.
I Just came home from China. I paid double or triple the price for most goods in China. They even do this to their own people. Its quite a country. I read on the internet that Chinese business men don't trust western business people. Where did they ever get this shit information from? Chinese TV , controlled by the Government? They really need to clean their own house first before they complain about the west.

Do you speak Chinese? If you do then you should not have any problem finding a nice girl for a wife however I am not sure about the virgin part. One thing you have to know that you are not buying a wife. Just because you like her does not make her a good wife in the U.S. You have to really spend some time with the girl (just like in your home country) in order to find out if you are both suited for each other.
I have seen a lot of marriages fail (most of my Taiwan friends) because they did not spend enough time to know the girls.
