Any new recommendations...
Coming in to BKK for first 2 weeks of February. Do any of you there know of hotels offering special promotions at this time?
Previously stayed in Livingstone, JWMarriott, Grand President, Citidines and Somerset (see my previous posts for reports).
To choose one of those for quality and value for money I recommend Citidines - the modern style of new places like Citidines seem to be springing up over BKK. I've read recent posts about Adelphi, Legacy etc.
Any updated advice on new places/promotions would be great.
Newbie - Recently divorced, plenty money, first time ever mongering - Help???
Advice please.
Plucked up the courage to go to Thailand for the first time for total debauchery / mongering the lot (sissy i hear you shout). Going on own.
Have quite alot of money, want somewhere of quite good class, maybe not taking on businessmen though, close to all the action (wherever that is), definetly Girl friendly / safe etc.
Probably Bangkok for 3 nights and Pattaya for 7.
Any suggestions?
Plus, have I picked the best two destinations.
Popper8469, That sounds like a good plan
3 days in Bangkok, 7 in Pattaya is a very reasonable distribution of your time:
In Bangkok, stay in a guest-friendly hotel in the Sukhumvit area - read the Bangkok Hotels forum for all of the good choices in whatever price/class range you wish. The must see venues in Bangkok are Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, the Soi 7 Beirgarten, as well as a Soapie Massage and a full service oil massage. If a 3-some with ladies who are also into each other is your thing, add Eden Club to the list. Patpong is mostly a rip-off, except for the Star of Light BJ bar.
In Pattaya, there are so many venues where there is amazing action that I wouldn't want to limit you. There are lady bars everywhere, there are massage places everywhere, there are a gazillion Go Gos on Walking street, and I have personally found that some of the very best ladies can be found along the sidewalk on the beach side of Beach Road between Soi 7 and Soi 13/4, for remarkably cheap prices (like 500 baht for short time).
As a newbie, the most important advice I can give you BY FAR is, DO NOT FALL IN LOVE!!!!!!!! The girls don't love you, they love your money, and the fact that you will lavish it on them. They are highly skilled at playing guys in your situation. If you are thinking you are falling in love, take a step back, and go find other ladies - you'll fall in love just as quickly with them, and there are ALWAYS more, prettier, friendlier, better, sexier ladies to be found at the next bar or go go.
