I am living alternate realities, Medellin and everything else.
There is no doubt about it. The one in Medellin is better. I feel like two completely different persons. I made a very good new friend here who upon seeing me on arrival said, "Asti, relax, you need to let the effects of the real world wear off you.
I went straight from the airport to one of the worst sections in the city to stay with a girl I barely knew. Her sister lives in the same hotel. Allow me to define Colombiana jealousy for you. Froggy (my new name for her) said, "I'm a very jealous person and I apologize up front for that. You can fuck my sister but don't communicate with her on-line behind my back. " Deal.
Today, she used me like her personal ATM but I was a willing participant. She is not charging me for sex, but we all pay one way another in the end. At first, I found myself keeping a running tally in my head for what we were spending on shopping compared to a la carte sexual sessions. The numbers were stacking up favorably, then I said fuggit, I'm happy, she's happy, the hallmark of a good deal. Enjoy. She took me to a couple of areas of El Centro I had not seen before. Generally I believe having a local girl on your arm has a protective effect, in most cultures. I completely get why certain mongers wouldn't want to go through all this extra hassle for sex, but that's why they call it GFE for Girlfriend Experience and I am enjoying it now as a change of pace and she is great at it.
I know I have a good one because she doesn't automatically default to the most expensive choices. In fact, for the prescription eyeglasses it was my idea to go for the upgrade. She is a great bargain shopper and she watches out for my best interests. The SW corner of Simon Bolivar Parque is block of all optical shops. After we picked a pair, they walked us to the corner to get the eye exam, total cost 90 mil COP or $22 USD. We will be spending our third night together tonight, out of the five I promised her. I have no idea how I came up with five as the magic number. I remember when she asked me that 1-30 jumped in my head. It's not easy to suddenly be around a stranger 24/7 but we got lucky.
Another thing I luv about her is she pays very close attention to my Spanish, or rather the lack of it. She helps, she understands me when others can't, and interprets my Spanish to something understandable. She corrects me politely. Great and different start to another Medellin adventure.
