I plan to make a motorbike trip to Romania this summer.
Some people warn me it is not safe to travel and police is very corrupt. Can somebody give me advise.
Which cities or regios should I visite to make acquintance off the beautifull slavic women? Is a visite to the Black Sea coast worthwile?
I will post my experiences later.
Hi everyone,
I have been to Oradea and basically can confirm that it is a great Place, can also recommend Hotel Elite very much (quite good Standard, Satellite TV all Stations, open to Visitors,...).
I didn't find the "Liberty Club", which has been mentioned in previous postings and 2 Cab Drivers told me straight it doesn't exist (maybe they don't get a share from them) - would be great if someone could enlight me ?
Services are great, full Girlfriend Service including "everything! goes" for small Money !
Been to "No Name Bar", but didn't like it really. "Drach Bar" close to the Zoo seems to be interesting and I meet Simona (Mobile 091/629051, blond, 18, nice figure), sounded nice !
Again, maybe someone could help me with "Club Liberty" and appreciate any other update, just let me know if there is anything else I can answer,
all the best!
Thanks for the up to date info franke, I'll be in Oradea next week.
Could you tell me how much have you been quoted for a full night or for quickie?
Are the taxi drivers your best bet, for hunting purposes, or it's better to approach the girls by yourself? Apartment scene, freelancers or nightclubs offer the best quality/price ratio?
Any other hints or tips will be welcomed.
Banana Joe
Hi Banana Joe,
sorry I can't be of that much help, I haven't really had time to "read the scene" throughly, so I went for Taxi Drivers.
My understanding from previous Posts/some Expirience is that you should be able to get a all-night for about 100 EUR, I actually paid 50 EUR for a Hour, but actually rather 1 1/2h without pressure. So Value for Money certainly is OK there...
Best other Tip I would know (haven't tried myself, but looked promising) would be the Club/Disco/Bar "Downtown" which actually is located close to downtown, but on the other side of the river as opposed to the main pedestrian Shopping Area. The Buildings look like Office Building, but there are at least 3 apperently hot Locations within 100 Meters - might be good to try these ones...
Haven't actually got any Info's on Appartments, Freelancers seem to be quite common if you have a little time and persuading and the two Nightclubs I tried are somewhat explained below.
I will try to bring more time next time I go there, probably in about 3-4 weeks, had only about 1 Day and that didn't allow for much...
Wish you success and a lot of fun, potential is certainly there and appreciate any update,
all the best
Franke
Some news live from Oradea! :-)
I have found the "Liberty", better ... "Liberty Bingo".
It's a Bingo club plus some billiards, and the boss is the "famous" Marius. It' located in the main pedestrian street, near the Hotel Parc.
I haven't found Marius, he was in Hunghary.
But you can simply ask for a b-i-t-c-h (be straightforward, otherwise they will not understand things like "escort", "female companion" and so on :-)
They have always a security man, dressed in black: this is your man.
But my experience have been a disaster: great disorganization and only an average looking girl (a 5 in look department).
The quoted price is 100$ for 4-5 hours, I guess, and you can cum an unlimited amount of time ... or until you're dry :-)
Regards,
Banana Joe
Hi Banana Joe,
..sorry for the bad expirience - actually, next time I am there (in about 2 weeks time) I guess I will try out the "Downtown" Club, there semmed to sit many Girls "ready to go" and I always like Selections ;-)
Aside of that, try below mentioned "Drach Bar" and ask for Monika (or call her on her Mobile, might save some more money), she is quite cute (about a 7 for me) and I can recommend her,
all the best
Franke
Hi I'm quite new here.
Soon I'm going out for a business trip taking me to Bucharest and Buzau.
Finding some fun (massage i.e.) in Bucharest shouldn't be a big issue but doe anybody knows something about Buzau?
Thanks in advance for your help! :-)))
For playstation:
HI.
Normaly I don't post here as I don't go anymore to Romania.
I lived theer for 18 months and speak the language. I myself am dutch. My ex was From Sibiu. Been arround there in some towns so I know a bit.
Here we go:
1) Never ever drive alone at night....!!! Romanian roads can be tricky. holes in the road..or just some stupid farmer with NO light on his card..!If you never was in RO before...do NOT drive alone during night.
2) The police is indeed CORRUPT. If they see a forreign numberplate on a car or moto they will STOP you without hasitation and ask for money. Certainly in the smaller places.
If yu do NOT speak Romanian.....you will have to pay up 5 Eur or maybe more...depending on the cops mood.
3)Never gave your passport to a police men....!!! They might take it from you...so you will have to follow them to the station, were they probably will ask MORE $$$ from you.
The borderpolice are also great thieves and steal some things which they like and can use. such as Coffee, chocolate, cheese (i am dutch...) and other things. They are just crooks.
Since my last visit there it was february 1998. So I heard NO more visum is required for westerners. I (in my time) every time had to pay up 35 US Dollars or 70 DM to get in....:-(
Now I more prefer South american women. I was in Bulgaria as well as in Dom Rep. and Peru recently.
By the way...the romanian women are LATIN and NOT slavic;-)
Romanian is a latin language.
If you speak some german or some french you should be ok. Younger peole also speak good english and Italian.
Have fun...and be carefull.
Johan.
I was in Sinaia a couple of days ago.
Basically Sinaia was built as a winter resort for rich romanians like Aspen for americans, I guess (never been ın Aspen :-).
There's an Hotel Cazino (Casino' in Romanian, but I haven't seen a single slot machine or something else you can usually fınd in a Las Vegas' Hotel).
Anyway there's a nightclub inside with an approx. 10 dollars entrance fee.
Inside I was the only customer ... not a situation usually I really like (but I was here ın the middle of the week).
The girls was .... well ... a couple of 8 and many 9-10!!!
I'm very picky regarding girls: a Jennıfer Lopez don't deserve much more than an 8, maybe a 9 with a good makeup in my ratings.
Well, a perfect 10 approached me: believe me she was an HOT brunette with a perfect body like a playmate. Never seen somethıng so perfect with my own eyes.
She quoted 50 dollars for a couple of hours ın my hotel.
But in all Romanian nightclubs I have been there's a problem:
you have to wait until 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning, when the girl finish her stripping work.
In the meantime they expect that you stay here drinking and offering drinks to the lady you have choose.
I have declined since I wasn't in the mood of waiting 4 hours inside.
So it's up to you: ıf you don't mınd payıng something like 50 + 50 = 100 dollars for the drınks and the lady, you can have the time of your life wıth a girl that look lıke a playboy model ın Sinaia.
Hey everyone. I am going to be flying into Bucharest the last week in July, and am hoping to find my way out to Brasov. I know a few beautiful women out there who have invited me to stay with them. I am wondering if any of you have travelled to Brasov before from Bucharest. How much does it cost to catch a ride (safe ride) to Brasov? Do the young locals there generally know a little bit of English?
How is the attitude toward foreigners in Romania in general?
Thanks in advance for any info.
mmm Brasov..also known as "Kronstadt". about 340.000 people.
How is your german buddy??;-)
Mostly the young people speak some english or Italian as well.
Romanians have no problems with forreigners..as long as they are NOT black,Jewish, asian or very cheap.
Forreigners are there to spend $$$$....so that is what they'll have to do.
Does that answer your question??
Stay away from pro night clubs..never drink too much there. YOU could get robbed.
try the street scene...or ask a hotel lobby guy. (or a cab driver)
Never walk arround with much $$$ cash in your wallet. stay LOW profile. The ho's stil know that you are US even if yu ware your normal clothes.
If you wait so many hours in the bar I guess there isn't gonna be much sex with the stunner after all.
Banana Joe...did you try to go to a little restaurant...and pick up a women. Or a discotheek??? Usualy those places are packed with 16-22 year old gurlz. If you walk in most of them immediately know you are a forreigner.
Just try your luck...and ask them for a dance or invite them for a beer or whatever.
personaly don't like those pro-ho's too much.
Why not ask their telephone number and meet them arround 1400-16.00...;-) I mean for the pro's working in the clubs.
Johan.
My knowledge of the German language covers all of about 3 words. lol. How much will I need this in Brasov???
I speak English primarily and Spanish as a second language.
Are the cops really corrupt out there? Is the Brasov area more of a poor place than Bucharest? I looked into hotels and this one called Aro was listed at 80USD per night.
I am hoping to have a great time for 2 days/nights in Brasov spending in the area of 300$ USD. I am hoping this will cover the hotel/food/nightly activites for 2 nights.
Do you recommend the place as an area in Romania to meet some non-pro women?
Thanks for the help!
> How much does it cost to catch a ride (safe ride) to Brasov?
You can take a direct train to Brasov. It's a 3 hours ride, trains depart almost every hour from the main train station (Bucurest Gara Nord A, where Gara means Station).
Take a first class ticket, because even the first class is not so good looking and confortable. But don't be afraid: for a 3 hours ride the trains are safe bet. I have travelled without problems even all night long, and many times.
Price? I don't remember, but I think is no more than 10 dollars.
> Do the young locals there generally know a little bit of English?
Yes.
From an english speaking traveller perspective, I thınk that Romania is one of the easiest country in east europe to visit.
People are without any doubt the poorest ın europe, but they receive a good school education, and with young girls (the classical student-type) I have never encountered any communication problem, their english is fairly good ... and better than mine :-)
Maybe with the older people the german language could be more helpful.
> How is the attitude toward foreigners in Romania in general?
Very good.
Maybe is because I'm a ''caucasian'', but I have never felt hated because I was a foreigner. Quite the opposite, instead.
And remember that Romania is maybe the only eastern european country with a multiethnical population (serbs, hungharians, romanians, bulgarians, moldavians, gypsies) and this is the reason of the stunning female population: mixed races are always better.
Hope to have been helpful.
Happy hunting and share the fun telling us your adventures in the land of Dracula.
Banana Joe,
the italian banana
> Are the cops really corrupt out there?
Yes, like everywhere :-)
But don't try to corrupt them, sometimes there are also some good cops ... and this could spell trouble for you, if you try to corrupt him for some reason.
So take a low profile and don't show arrogance or fear.
> Is the Brasov area more of a poor place than Bucharest?
It's different.
Are Des Moines poorer than New York?
Depends on what area we are talking about.
I think that Brasov is more beatiful, expecially the scenery.
I don't lıke Bucurest, and also the Romanian agree with me.
It's less safer and too much crowded with people, cars, pickpocketers and gypsies.
Instead Brasov could be lovely.
> I looked into hotels and this one called Aro was listed at 80USD night.
80 dollars is vey pricey for romanian standars
You can find very good hotel for half that price
am hoping to have a great time for 2 days/nights in Brasov spending in the area of 300$ USD. I am hoping this will cover the hotel/food/nightly activites for 2 nights.
No problem
With 300 USD you can splurge!
Do you recommend the place as an area in Romania to meet some non-pro women?
Everywhere
