Street hookers are mostly found in the less secure parts of the city, the parts of the city where a gringo with a camera will soon be a gringo without a camera, cell phone or wallet, and in some cases without a pulse.
Well, I'm half-Filipino / half-White, so I don't look like a gringo, per se. A few acquaintances of mine actually thought I was Mexican! But yeah, I was debating if I should risk staying in Sante Fe district, Bogota at a safe hotel during the day so I can film at short-term hotels and submit my video via PornHub once I return. Anyway, if you have any other suggestions, please let me know.
Hey everyone! Since there isn't a Medellin FAQ, I figured I'd ask here:
So, I'll be heading to Medellin late 2017 by myself. It'll be my first time mongering outside the USA, and I'm pretty damn excited. However, I've got a PornHub account and I really want to submit amateur porn I filmed in Colombia. Are brothels in Medellin camera friendly? If not, are the street hookers? What'll be the extra cost?
I recommend you go to Plaza Botero about 22:00 hours (10 PM), because there is just enough twilight left at that time to make filming ideal. Set up your equipment, along with a sandwich board advertising what you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay. Plaza Botero is right by the Museum of Antioquia and the Rafael Uribe Uribe Palace of Culture, so you know you will get higher class, more erudite people passing by, many of whom will speak fluent English. This is in the famous Carabobo neighborhood, Calle 52 and Carrera 51. Any taxista will be happy to take you there. There are several four and five star hotels in this area, so you can take the chicas there for filming sessions as well. Hotel Manzanares would be a good choice.

"If your Spanish is good" How much Spanish do you really need to hold up a handful of bank notes and point a cell phone camera?
To the original poster, use your pornhub account to search for "Colombia" "Brazil" etc. That will be your indication of how much filming you are likely to get done. Many casas display signs prohibiting the use of cameras and cell phones. Those that don't will make their policy clear when you start why our production. Good luck.
The brothels in Medellin are not camera friendly and since I street hookers are the bottom of the barrel in looks normally I don't go there. I would say it depends on how much glue the happened to sniff that day. Jajaja.
In general the mentally in Medellin is that a chick would rather fuck a guy she doesn't like and have nobody find out about it than have her naked ass filmed while getting pounded for the whole world to see.
But it can be done if you plan on staying awhile and your Spanish is good.
I would start buy getting as many contacts on facebook as I could and just network. If you get lucky you can find a chick that will help you recruit and pay her for every chick she finds for you.
You might start with this photographer in Medellin. He knows a lot of chicks and recently started taking pics of webcam girls in my friends studio and helping to promote them online.

Since it appears Medellin brothels aren't privy to recording equipment, I may have to take my chances on Medellin, Bogota, or Cartagena street hookers.

I'm not trying to be insulting. Every year several thousand tourists come here to become victims. Some get their pockets picked, some get scammed, some get robbed and a few get dead. None of them intend to be a victim, but they forget this isn't the US. So they whip out their camera or their $700 cell phone and get introduced to reality.
Both Centro and Santa Fe are safe during the day, right up to the point when you pull out that camera. Unless you venture off the busy streets, then time of day doesn't matter.

I've figured crime was relatively common in Santa Fe; hence why I'm going to bring only the cash I need, my ID, condoms and my hidden camera.
I plan to tell the hooker after we find a short-term hotel.
Many casas display signs prohibiting the use of cameras and cell phones.
Me and my friends went into (I think the name is) Mona Lisa. We sat on the couches for the presentation of the girls. I pulled my phone out to send an email or check a message or something and the lady threw me out of there.
At New Life, sometimes the guy wouldn't say anything when I had my phone out waiting for friends to finish and other times he made me put it away.
No, brothels in Medellin aren't camera friendly, although it's quite likely if you carry a camera into a brothel you'll meet some friendly people interested in photography shortly after leaving the brothel. Are brothels anywhere in the world camera friendly?
Ahahah I love your way to explain. 100% true. Spot-on. Well said.
By the way, the guy who wants to bring a camera in brothels, to be able to post videos from Colombia on Pornhub, reminded me the beginnings of the guy who has the web site "My Asian Sex Diary". I don't know how many here do know that.
He started the same way ("hey can I take pictures of you??") then he decided to make it a business.
He lives spending one week here and one week there, rotating hotels among China, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and few other countries. His business is to place multiple hidden cams in his room and filming him having sex with the girls he finds in malls, bars, even brothels. No condom, creampie 100% of the times, every night a different girl: make your estimation of the risk for the girls who go with him.
Sometimes he pays extra to girls to get permission to film, I guess he promises it's for personal use, other times girls are totally unaware.
Then, he posts the video on his web site. The registration fee is something like 30 USD / month. He has been earning a lot of money, since several years already. Enough to pay his lifestyle and to save a lot in some tax paradise.
His life is just fucking, eating, sleeping, videoediting, repeat. Every day, even Christmas. This for at least the last 4-5 years.
How did I know about him? This is the interesting part.
One year ago, more or less, he ventured to Batam, Indonesia, which is now like my private or at least favorite playground.
He went with some ugly bar girls, and even she met one of MY BEST FRIENDS there. He lured her to his room, fucked her in various ways, recorded everything with his cam hidden in glasses and in various places of the room (the same hotel where I usually stay) and posted her video on his web site.
In few days, someone downloaded the video from the pay site and posted it public, with all others from Batam. In few days, everyone in Batam was pointing fingers to those girls, included my friend. Even police went to interrogate her, if the shame for her was not enough.
Now, what I wanted to say is that this guy was able to do that and even go back to Batam, without physical consequences for him.
But Colombia is not Indonesia. If that damn guy (MyAsianSexDiary) will try to go to Medellin or Bogota, introduce hidden cameras in a bar of Santa Fe or a casa of Medellin, post the video of the girls, etc. Etc. , even make money on the skin of those poor girls, he might get a bullet in front, not a pat-pat on the shoulder. No shit.
Personally, I wish I will be able to meet him one day, if he comes back to Batam. Be sure I will find enough people to teach him the lesson and how to behave in a civil world.

Nobody should ever be carrying in their pocket a wallet w ID. CC, cash. Maybe in Poblado by day but otherwise it is not smart. I have a small bi fold wallet(credit card / ID size) that holds a CC, ID and has room for folded bills and wear Goldtoe Canterbury over-the-calf dress socks. My wallet stays in my sock and is completely unnoticeable. I keep enough cash in my pocket to buy simple things or "reward" a thief so he looks no further. If I need more money I go into a bathroom and remove what I need. Even sitting in a restaurant I can remove from my sock and nobody notices because I'm covered by the table. I am never worried about the wallet falling out because that sock literally hugs the wallet and keeps it positioned. If I had to run from danger I could sprint a mile and the wallet would stay put. Never feels too snug or uncomfortable. Just enough to know the wallet is still there.
It might seem like a small detail to some but for this hobby the small wallet and those socks are a key component when I'm out in the streets.

I plan to tell the hooker after we find a short-term hotel.
You've clearly thought of everything. Nothing could possibly go wrong.
I realize this thought has never crossed your mind, but is there any chance that one of the people, telling you it's not a good plan, know what they are talking about? Between them they have accounted for about 15,000 posts on ISG, they've mongered all over the world and have seen just about everything. They've advised and guided greenhorns in dozens of countries. Yet you, with zero experience, so wet behind the ears you don't understand brothels do not allow cameras, think you're smarter.
You don't speak any Spanish, plan to go to areas that are always risky and try to negotiate with people who speak no English. Furthermore you want to do it in an area where you will encounter serious drug users, trannys and under legal age hookers.
If you won't take the free advice, your lesson is going to be very expensive.

For me that's a little extreme. I make a point of avoiding situations that would put me at risk of robbery, but I use my wallet, cash, etc. The same anywhere I go. I never walk around with a passport because it's a pain in the ass to replace it in case of loss or theft. I don't ever want to be in a place where I have to hide my cash in my socks. Life is too short for that. I'm not going to walk around Centro with my annual salary in cash but I don't think twice about carrying amounts I wouldn't miss. I never flash money and I avoid using my phone where other people are not using their phones. So far, so good for many years.
