You need to take the time to read the thread!
I have read several things about Cabo being very dangerous lately to tourists. Does anyone have any feedback on the situation in Pto Vallarta? I been to both before several times with no problems but is this changing in PV?
Thanks in advance.
Hello Thelmas Gone,
Instead of just making a post out of laziness, go back and read the last several pages of the forum. You might be surprised at what you can find by doing a modest amount of research. If I can be of any further help to you after you have done this, feel free to send me a p.m. It really aggravates me when guys put there time and efforts into providing the forum information, and then guys come along and refuse to read even the first couple pages of the thread.
United States security warnings.
Urban Wildlife,
Thanks for the feedback. You know it isnt my first trip around the block in the mongering scene and I am no lazy monger as you insinuate. As fast as the Canadian and US gov'ts are issuing warnings on Mexico I was wondering if things may have changed in the 3 weeks since the last post on the safety situation in PV. I do appreciate all your input in the past and future threads. I guess I should have been more specific if the govt warnings are for real of a bunch of BS as I suspect.
Thanks for all your info. in the past.
Hello Thelmas Gone,
Do not take the security warnings issued by the United States goverment to heart, because for the most part they are full of shit. It is dangerous, as I am sure you are well aware of in the border areas of Mexico and the United States, but that is it. I spend a couple months a year in Colombia for example, and have never seen any type of violence, but the United States goverment will lead you to believe, you are going to be kidnapped and killed if you step foot into the country. The same goes for visiting Venezuela.
In the resort areas of Mexico, do you think for a minute that the goverment of Mexico is going to allow any violence towards tourists?. No, obviously is the answer, as tourism brings in to many dollars, and it is what makes the economy thrive in cities such as Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, e.c.t.
If I can be of any help to you in any way, please let me know, as that is what I am here for.
Last note: I echo Exthalmus comments about the number of posts in the past few days. :) Since I joined the ISG, I have never seen this thread as active as it is at the moment, and with the quality of posts being made. It makes for nice reading, and thanks to all who are putting forth there efforts in writing reports, sharing there experiences, in hopes there contributions will help future travelers to Puerto Vallarta! :)
If ISG members Sex Hunter and Winston are out there, what has happened to you?. Both of you have vanished off the face of the earth.
A great wingman to have in Puerto Vallarta!
I was in PV 3/26-4/2/09. I did my research beforehand, found this site and made my plans. I did, spend a lot of time with Rogilio. Great person. Really. My advice is to stick with Rogilio and have fun.
Hello Lou!, :)
Thank you for the kind words about the service Rogilio provided you!. He is the ultimate friend a person can have, as he will be there for you no matter the situation!. It is an honor to have him as one of my very best friends for the past 15 years. I know from speaking with him, you had alot of fun, excitement, and some very late nights! :) ;) I am sorry we missed each other by one day. Based on my conversation with Rogilio, I would be very surprised if you do not return to Puerto Vallarta, and if you do, hopefully our paths will cross at the same time.
As I and many others have stated here on the Puerto Vallarta forum, if someone who is new to Puerto Vallarta, and wants to experience the nightlife away from the tourist traps, and wants a wing man who is fun to party with, knows alot of people, including available girls, is honest and trustworthy, and can speak and understand english, it is necessary to get in touch with Rogilio. He can also take you to see the various tourist sites that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. His taxi is always very clean, and is equipped with air conditioning and satellite radio, and his fees are minimal. His cellular telephone number once again is:
[blue][Telephone Number deleted by Admin][/blue] if calling from a cellular or landline in Puerto Vallarta.
[blue][Telephone Number deleted by Admin][/blue] if calling from a public payphone in Mexico.
To contact him from the United States you have to dial the country code and city code, so dial the number [blue][Telephone Number deleted by Admin][/blue]
EDITOR's NOTE: [blue]This report was edited to remove personal telephone numbers in the text. Please do not post personal telephone numbers in the Forum. Phone number correction, and needed help
It looks like you have the same problem that I do UrbanWildlife, in that you call Mexico and Colombia quite often, and therefore get the Country Codes mixed up.
So, for anyone calling the recommended cab driver while in the USA , you will dial, 011-52, and then the number, as opposed to 011-57. Who knows, it may not be a bad thing if you misdial, in that you will probably get a hold of a hot Colombiana (since about 9 out of 10 Colombians are always perfect)!
Also, I’m hoping that someone answers Exthalmus’ question, and in particular, gives specific places where Tourist Women hang out. Although I’m not interested in North American Women, I would like the information for alternative reasons. I’m creating a list of popular tourist hang outs, so that I can have something to lie about what I did on my vacation to both the people on the plane ride home, and my coworkers. My assumption is always that it’s not appropriate plane conversation to say that I didn’t even go to the beach because I was in cheap brothels all weekend. I used to always stay at a place called Hotel Alamo, that was a 24 hour a day Brothel. Since it has now closed, I’ve stayed with a friend who lives in Pitillal. Aside from going to La Zona, La Curva (where El Y Ella & Conejitas is located), and Antorchas, I typically don’t venture out much more. Every now and then after I visit Antorchas, I hop on a bus and go to the Malecon Area, and walk around, but have never really taken part in any Tourist Activities.
For example, how much does a boat ride cost, and where all does the boat go? How much does it cost to go fishing, and what type of fish are caught? How much does a Jungle Tour cost, and what Jungle does it travel to? And most importantly (to also answer Exthalmus’ question), what are some bars that tourist women hang out?
UrbanWildlife had some good information about the Hotel San Marino, which I think I’ll say I stayed at during my next visit.
Oh well, I don’t know if anyone else has the same problem as me when it comes to making up information about my vacation to strangers, family members, co-workers, etc. , but any helpful articles would be appreciated. In the past, I’ve just Googled tourist activities, however the information is never specific enough (price, travel time on tours, etc). , and I have a feeling that everyone always knows I’m full of shit. It’s especially uncomfortable when I’m on a date with a woman in The States, and she wants to start sharing travel experiences in Puerto Vallarta. Up until now, I’ve always just said that I’ve stayed at The Sheraton, and have looked up the amenities on Expedia.
Anybody know where these girls are working these days
I am in puerta vallarta for the next week and was hoping to hook up with some girls I have frequented from different clubs. One was Melissa who worked at Candy's. I seen her for the second time in February of 2008. I was there last night and asked for her. One host guy told me she was pregnant and not working. Another host guys I asked said she was working in a different city. However, she told me she was buying a house up by Walmart last february so I think she is still around. I seen a Melissa on craigslist who has girls available. Maybe she is pregnant and has girls under her? She was a blast and was looking for a little more.
I was also wondering about Grecia who worked at the old Junior's. I was going to also stop into Aqua after Candy's last night to see if she was there but did not want to pay another outrageous cover charge and more expensive warm tap beer.
I did stop at Antorghas (sp?) yesterday. There was about twenty girls. There were only a couple of interest and I picked ulanna (sp?) who is 27. She was worth the money but wouldn't necessarily do again.
I am going to Zona Rosa for the first time this week and was wondering if it's better and/or safer to go in the afternoon or nighttime. Any response of these items would be appreciated. Thanks!
