Who cares??!! Vitamin V or Black hair dye...all chemicals
I look around and see that most, if not all, over 40 asian men 'enhance' their lives by dying their hair black (or purple if the light hits it just right) and I think WTF!!!??? Is that any better than my desire to sharpen my sword?? A better strategy is to find the cutest young thing and look deeply into her eyes and she will NOT give you that feeling.
Try it!

Public Announcement for August 5
In case you don't know already, the DOD of Taiwan has decided to run a military exercise in Taipei City on August 5, starting at 22:30 (10:30PM) and should last for approximately half an hour. Yeah, you should hear a siren.
The exercise is supposed to prepare the populace against an air raid or missile strike from (of course you know where), so you are supposed to stay in-doors and turn off all lights and pretend there is a war out there.
If you are stuck in the MRT or other public transportation, my understanding is that you should take cover in your seat and pretend there is a war out there?
In theory anyone caught violating the rules of this military exercise may be fined up to 150,000 NT (that's like 5 grand...ouch). Although I am not sure how the local cops plan to enforce the law on foreigners, but it would be stupid to try otherwise.
So if you plan on mongering next Tuesday night, I suggest you to keep this information in mind and stay in-doors and remember to close the curtains.

This is not a hoax.
Sanchung: ChungHsiao Bridge
Had some time this afternoon so headed out to the Sanchung side of ChungHsiao Bridge to have a second look around. One of my earliest reports here on ISG was of my 1:00am visit to this same area a few months back. This afternoon, in broad daylight, aim was to get a better feel for the neighborhood, and have a good time along the way.
Anyway, quickly got roped into the same shack as last time. Only today my price was NT$1. 5k for 20min vs. NT$2. 0 for 20min last time. Not sure why I got a better price this time. Anyway, I'll never be paying any BS 'foreigner rate' again. This shack is almost directly under the Chunghsiao bridge, essentially abutting Huanhe Rd. The touts here are pretty straightforward so hard to miss this one.
There were about 5 girls inside, and I immediately made direct eye contact with a good looking girl, but then another, older girl sort of latched on to me and sorta 'assumed' my business. The mamasan had asked before we entered if I liked 'them plump, upon which I reassured her I like 'them every which way. Thus I think, literally behind my back, the mamasan indicated this girl for my service, because quickly the other girls zeroed in on the TV. In retrospect those girls weren't THAT interested in whatever was on the TV. The mamasan was clearly directing traffic out of my line-of-sight.
Now don't get me wrong, I like a good sized catcher's-mitt type ass, and Miss Zhou certainly had that. But she also had a serious. Ummm, lets call it a beer belly. Certainly had I gotten a better look in advance, I wouldn't have hired her. But as it turned out, her attitude was right on the mark, with quick BBBJ, some light finger teasing of the backdoor (which was about all I was prepared to entertain. Hahaha) and a fair enough effort in the cowgirl position.
Now my major complaint. The AC hadn't been turned on in advance. Hell, it wasn't turned on until I had already popped. I know, I know, I should have noticed it from the get-go and made a fuss. The simple truth is I tend to develop tunnel vision and just didn't catch it. Anyway, to all the brothers out there: keep your wits about you and make sure the room temp is acceptable before you disrobe! Hahaha All told, I had a good time, but there were definitely a few lessons learned.
Ms. Zhou made some interesting comments during our 'wind down. ' She said there were about 50 shacks total in Sanchung, with about 20 in the Chunghsiao bridge area. I walked around the area after our fun, but only came across one other active shack. Seems this is primarily just a very old residential area. I may have seen some other touts, but it was hard to be certain that was their business. I made brief eye contact but they made no real effort to engage me. In sum, it was hard to tell they werent' just sitting out in the evening, enjoying the spectacle, for whatever that was worth.
She also mentioned there are similar, but cheaper shacks, on Hwahsi St. Near Hsimenting. She said these shacks house older ladies. I'm just thinking she is referring to service providers near LongShan Temple that are said to be. Ancient? (Can anyone confirm this? )
So that was it. Selection was much better during my 1am visit than it was at 2pm today. But maybe time also had something to do with the better price? All told, I got my rocks off, and had another interesting, if brief cultural experience. I parked at the T intersection of Huanhe Rd and Chunghsiao. There is a gated entrance directly under the bridge, abutting the berm (? ) separating the river park from Huanhe Rd. Parking was NT$20/hr, I think, and that was all I needed.
