Sexual Harassment
Something that doesn't seem to have gotten any mention here is the biggest ***** weapon of all: "Sexual Harassment". Now, I'm mostly a leftist, but I have to say that my side really screwed up society on this one.
A. A very good friend of mine just got fired for the above mentioned. His purported "victim" is both a major perpetrator of, and comfortable recipient of all kinds of behavior that could theoretically be actionable. The actual problem in this case (my personal opinion) religions intolerance. Girl is a (highly hypocritical) member of an extremely intolerant fundamentalist christian sect. After a (failed) attempt to prostheltize my friend, which resulted in a discussion of his beliefs (pagan, new agey type), she decided to take him out, but you can't fire someone for their religious beliefs. Fortunately society has seen fit to give AW the ultimate multi-purpose ***** weapon.
B. I also was the recipient of a Sex Harassment "witch hunt" about 10 years ago. Hot little MILF and I happily flirted and played "grab ass" at work. Everything was just fine until friends of the little redneck she was married to witnessed us playing around. He confronted her, and suddenly, I became the "evil predator", who she agreed to get rid of, or he was going to make her quit her job. So she called the company hotline (and "twisted" a lot of mostly innocent behavior), but quit when she found out that they were going to investigate the situation, and not just fire me on her word. Unfortunately, I still had to endure the witch hunt, spending 2 hours with an interrogator, and the humiliation of seeing friends and co-workers dragged in as witnesses. Following all of that, I was COMPLETELY EXONERATED, and found to be without blame, but still, I was cautioned that should any woman make any complaint about my behavior, that I would be fired immediately-in light of the fact that I had been found "innocent", that is pretty interesting.
C. I have a problem with the whole concept. Imagine this theoretical situation. Brad Pitt commits action X (grabs her ass, makes a suggestive remark whatever)-what is woman's reaction? Most likely favorable. Drew Carey commits identical action X, and what happens-negative reaction, followed by possible persecution for sexual harasment if action took place in the workplace. In other words, Drew is exposed to punative action not because of his action (action X was fine after all coming from Brad), but because of what Drew is-a guy who is not considered to be sexy (by most women). In other words, to quote Chris Rock "Sexual Harassment ain't nothing but an ugly guy trying to get some pussy!"
4. I suspect that all this "crying wolf" will someday take away from REAL sexual harassment-some derivative of a woman being deprived of a job because of her refusal to sleep with someone.
That is all

Addendum to Previous
I heard the greatest story about Sexual Harassment. A friend of a friend is faculty at a major University. Appearently a few years ago, there was a gigantic, cross departmental meeting on the topic of...you guessed it. Of course, the freaky feminist types were all up railing..."This is terrible, this is horrible, the whole world is going to end" etc. After a protracted period of this, a little old female professor (she was EE or maybe Greek, probably taught like sociology), and said in heavily accented English: "Only problem with Sex Harassment here at University is that it is of POOR QUALITY and INSUFFICIENT QUANTITY". The whole place (except for the feminists) lost it.

DH,
What you said is correct. However, in none of my posts at any time have I claimed to be something that I am not. Come up to Canada sometime and you'll see that we have a great deal in common. We look the same, dress the same and talk the same.
What's more, everything I've ever read in this forum applies quite well to many of the women here. Maybe I'm not an American, but I am a north american. Since there's no forum called "canadian women", I choose to share my thoughts here.
I am sure that many of the guys here can relate to my situtation.... especially how I went overseas to get a decent girl since the women here at home generally suck.
To answer your last questions, I met my wife in Africa last year.... and no she is (and was) most definitely NOT a hooker.
I hope this post serves to clear up any possible misunderstandings you might have had.

Thanks, RD. Cleared everything up except what country your wife is from. But it doesn't really matter, I guess.
You guys do talk abooooot the same.

RD, DH,
Come on now, everyone knows that folks from Canada are exactly like Americans, except that they speak English, and can get decent, free health care, and tend not to be universally reviled.
Hail to the red, white and... Maple leafed!
Regards,
Sporadic (American but hockey fan)

I one time talked to a women from Eastern Europe who said she like guys with shaved heads or just bald. Something that is for sure with a lot of US women is that they like men with a full head of hair. Some guys spend as much as 10K for an operation to get more hair or spend several hundred dollars a year on medication to grow more hair. Women abroad will often have a perspective that is different from those in North America, it is sometime refreshing to see something that is one woman's garbage is another's treasure. Traveling abroad is good.
Dickhead, I would have rather married a Central European prostitute than a regular American woman.

With all due respect, CB, my experience is quite different. I found from the moment I shaved my head many years ago that I got far more attention from AW than I did before, and that's continued to be true. Perhaps that's related to the "bad boy" fetish many have.
As a friend used to say, it's clearly seen to be a solar panel for a sex machine. :)

Bald pate
I remember being at a party a couple of months ago, when I was introduced to a woman that I fancied a bit. The three of us were chatting for a few minutes when all of a sudden (after quite a bit of staring on her part at my shaven head) she asked if she could feel my head. I said: "Go ahead, you KNOW you wanna touch it". That got a good laugh out of her. End result, I found out she had two rugrats and was in a relationship that seemed more complicated than the U.S tax laws. I quietly slid outta there....
Britain is not a country at all. The United Kingdom (of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is a country. England + Scotland + Wales = Britain. Add in some islands and you get Great Britain. England isn't a country. Scotland isn't a country. Wales isn't a country. Great Britain isn't a country.
What are Scotland, Wales, and England? In the world cup, England has played Argentina, Italy, Nigeria. Scotland has played Uruguay, Sweden, Morocco. Wales has played Brazil, Hungary, Mexico. The opposing teams all appear to be countries. If Scotland, Wales, and England are not countries, what are they?

A few years ago when I was in the States, there was a moment when my hair started to thin, and it made a very large dent in my social life. Some women that I met at work who were initially interested in me noticed it and it definitely affected my rapport with them. One them went up to me and told me "You look different", and they were referring to the thinning on top of my head. I took some medication and it eventually came back. I haven't had this problem since moving down under, maybe its the more relaxed lifestyle that's present here. Stress seems to be a major factor in hair loss. The one thing I have noticed about visiting places abroad is that women don't quiz you about what you do for a living, which is a common practice in the US. This is quite evident even in some very well developed countries.

Baldness
Now I don't cut AW's a whole lot of slack, but it has been my experience that some degree of hair loss (I have a moderate "widow's peak" going) is not a big deal to them, as long as it isn't styled into a way which the man "can't pull off" any more (example, I used to know a guy who used a dork knob to try and cover his rapidly increasing bald spot). I have heard girls say that they think it looks very masculine and they have all heard that it is a sign of high testosterone.
In 1999, a very bald Sean Connery was voted "Sexiest Man Alive". In the mid-late nineties, a very bald Terry O'Quinn's character was returned to the television show "Millenium" (a Chris Carter Production), to "increase female viewership. Then we have Bruce Willis, who hasn't had a full head of hair since he was a nobody bartender.
Like I said, no big deal. Now my beer gut on the other hand is an "unforgiveable sin".

shaven head
Women in the USA are no different than Euro or Latin women in that all love guys with shaven heads. This is absolutely true. I'm speaking from experience. I have worn my hair several different ways, in the end women really go for that shaven head.

I have to mention Canadian women, except for those in Quebec, are HORRIBLE, with capital H. I'm also including British women, I was in the airport in Vancouver, saw a family of fat people, I could have sworn they were Americans, but the father pulled a passport which said United Kingdom. I have seen some fat women in Australia, but not the behemoths found in the United Kingdom.
-
CBGB,
The reason why women from Quebec tend to look nicer is because they are mainly of French european descent. Another, equally important, factor is that they generally put more effort into maintaining their personal appearance.
Anywhere else in Canada and you can't tell the difference. You can walk into a Burger King and you'll see big women eating their Supersize burger and fries. However, they don't want to get too fat, so they wash it all down with a diet coke.

Australian women are of the same European background as English speaking Canadians, but as a whole Australian women are better looking than most English speaking Canadian and American women. Sure there are some dogs, but I find it easy to find fuckable women in Ozzie, I would say 1 out of 3 Australian women that I see on the streets of Sydney are an 8 or better. I looked around outside of Montreal, and some of the women were horrific. Vancouver even had a lot of nasty looking women. Other factors are at work, Australia gets no snow, except in some mountain regions in Victoria, they are as a whole active in sports and fitness. Australia is also far less polluted than North America, it has a secure socialist system that provides a healthy normal life for all of its citizens.
