The hypocrisy of Feminism
I would say you had an argument on your hands if it wasn't for the fact that most prostitution laws started around the turn of the 20th century, while women were not allowed to vote until 1920! So the only people a politician could have been catering to in order to keep his lame ass in office was other men. So once again, men are the root of laws against prostitution, not women.
That was a predictable comeback, but here's the thing. Women have a lot of societal power, both formal and informal. They may not have always had suffrage rights, but they have always had significant influence and power over men, including the political men in their lives (well-documented). And that power has only grown over time to where it is today. We're about to have our first female president in the most powerful country the world has ever known (I believe it's true)! Now, if the majority of men today had their way and acted on how they really feel about it, then we all know that pussy would indeed be for sale at the corner store. Note I didn't say all men. I said the majority. And that's what I truly believe.
I'm not here to argue for the proposition that pussy ought to be for sale on "every" street corner. I actually don't think that's something I would prefer. But I do believe that it ought to be for sale somewhere! A lot! And the reason why it isn't in some places is because of the influence of women on men, in both formal and informal settings. And for you to say it's the other way around (men are the reason) because they dominate the legislative bodies is just plain intellectually shallow and blind to the way the world really works. You remove all causation from women on this and assign it to men exclusively? Really? Unbelievable! The power of pussy is strong and has you, me, and everybody else here traveling around the world paying to "get some". So don't underestimate its influence in all forms on all matters of human concern, be that in a formal political forum or elsewhere.
And let me tell you about those "feminists" you mentioned who believe that it's a woman's right to do what she wants to with her own body. Yes, that's what they'll initially say. But then start talking specifically about prostitution and see what they say then! Oh then, well no woman in her right mind would choose to be a prostitute right? She's clearly a "victim". Forced into it and trafficked and abused by men. That's the only reason she's selling her body and there is no other. She knows not what she does!
That's exactly what you're going to hear. These "liberated feminists" who you seem to be touting all of a sudden don't accept a woman doing what she wants to with her own body when it comes to prostitution due to the "victim" mentality that's become pervasive, at least in western society. It's just more of the same two-faced hypocrisy from feminist women who want it both ways. To make their own decisions. Do their own thing. But then when a woman decides to do something that the feminists don't like, oh then all of a sudden we have a problem. Another "male-driven" problem preventing women from "being all they can be". I've seen plenty of your posts over the years, and I can't believe that a guy like you would fall for this this double standard bullshit. And that's exactly what it is too. And it's deep!
