That is a dynamic that is going to continue to play out and accellerate over the next decade. First with more women graduating from university/college, thus being more eligible for higher paying white collar work, then compounded with the decline of good paying blue collar jobs, will leave a lot of men as the second-income provider in relationships, which is a dramatic role reversal in historical terms.
It will wreak havoc with all kinds of relationships and make it much more difficult for couples to match up (women will still be seeking higher income, higher status mates, who will become a smaller group, and lower income men will be reluctant to enter into relationships as an inferior provider). It is a recipe for social and societal disaster. But inevitable.
Nice for the guys at the top of the food chain, though - lots of successful women competing for them. Skilled tradesmen should do okay also, but factory workers and unskilled workers are going to feel the pain.
Sounds like a recipe for increased mongering opportunities in the US for foreigners from countries with strong stable currencies. Buying brothel stocks may be a good thing. There are still foreigners who want to screw American women just to check it off their list. I guess they've seen too many American made porn flicks.
