Return On Investment For A Vasectomy
Many mongers are ambivalent about getting a vasectomy, or what we commonly refer to as getting your nuts snipped. I thought it would be interesting to see what the financial cost of not having your nuts snipped would be, or the return on the investment in having your nuts snipped. If you paid $1,200 for a vasectomy it would prevent you from having the US average of 2.08 children. This translates into a cost savings of $577,000 without college. If you included the cost of college the savings would be $945,000. Therefore the return on investment for $1,200 spent snipping your nuts would be 48,177% without college and 78,762%. This far out performs any 401K or other retirement plan.
This calculation does not take into account your person time invested in raising the children. You will have to spend some time with the children unless you want to unless more delinquents upon the world like the Columbine gunmen. It also does not consider the environmental cost savings to planet in the form of avoided pressure on natural resources and reduced pollution.
Children also take an emotional toll on you especially after going through the public school system. After the social services representative gets done brainwashing them at school you will find that you have very little authority to these parasitic entities living in your domicile. Once they enter puberty you will have things like teen pregnancy and drug use to worry about. As if this isn’t enough, you must maintain some kind of contact with the mother(s) of the children even if your relationship turns sour.
Then there is the question of what kind of life that those children can expect. The US has a practice of running record deficits and leaving it to future generations to pay. Your children may be so heavily taxed that they’re little more than indentured servants of the state. Terrorists have succeeded in making privacy and freedom of movement quickly vanishing concepts. Anal probing may become routine security procedure before being allowed to get on a plane or train. We also know that fossil fuels are being rapidly depleted and there will not be enough to go around in the future for any children born today. These are all things to be considered in your decision on whether or not to get your nuts snipped.
