Del Rey for rookies? I think not.
It's not you, Holmes. HDR is strictly for rookies, nose pickers, and pelotudos. Who needs dishonest bartenders and guest fees?
I had to respond to this because in my opinion it's not true. Actually the Del Rey is a challenge for those who know how to get what they want and not get eaten alive like.
Most of the poor suckers who go in there who have no clue.
Actually if you speak Spanish, know how to talk to and treat the girls, and know how to "negotiate-without-negotiating" you can get awesome chicks in the Del Rey and pay a lot.
Less than most guys pay.
Dishonest bartenders? Maybe, but that's everywhere where gringos go. You should always watch your money especially at bars.
I like the other places too, don't get me wrong (except Sportsman's Lodge which I have always hated. In fact I got kicked off that "other" Ticas site for being honest about how bad the.
Service is at the SL. Apparently because the owner has an interest in that "other" ticas site / forum. Funny how all the guys over there on that other site suck up to the SL owner.
As if he's providing a great service. Yeah, great service for guys who are afraid to venture out in to the real world of Costa Rica mongering.
I like Zona Blue sometimes, liked Hotel Little Havana less but it was still okay.
I liked New Fantasy when it first opened (haven't been back since the last couple times I went and didn't care for the selection at all (is it even still open?
Never cared for Idem.
Had some great times in the zona roja back when but kinda not worth it any more.
I've been to Tico-only places most people probably don't even know about; a Tico took me there. Nothing to write about, believe me! LOL.
But while I like going over to Zona Blue for an afternoon delight, I prefer Key Largo and Del Rey for the night time fun. More girls = more choice = more challenge = more fun.
I almost always get what I want which is a girl with a great attitude who has fun with me at the bar and in my hotel room.
YMMV.
