Ramadan mid-week round up
As already mentioned, Ramadan seems a little more easy going compared to last year. This is most notable when you are in Bur Dubai around the Majestic hotel. You still have plenty street action with the African contingent.
Ratsky had good F / M ratio. Helped by the lure of free food. Also, the atmosphere is pretty good with some music playing in place of what would normally be an ear deafening Filipino band. Sadly, that's where the positives end. I'm not sure if it's a feature of the buffet, but the girls, almost without exception, were rippling with waves of fatty tummies squeezed into skinny jeans. There is something that makes Filipinos transcend rubenesque and fast track to flabby. It put me off my beer! Needless to say, I left empty handed and put t down to experience, but had a new found desire to go to the gym J.
Panorama also benefits from a good ratio and improved atmosphere. It now feels more like a sports bar than an Indian night club. Although the quality level is a bit down and less variety (mostly Viets) the easy atmosphere means you can quickly zero in on the cuties and strike a rapport. They open with premium rates (for Panorama) at 1000, but with a little patience, I was able strike a deal at 500 LT. I suspect the weekend rates will be higher. The. Earlier closing time (2 am) means that you really need to engage by midnight, the place empties around 1 am and you'll have just the scraps left. Again, the weekend experience may be different.
Safe mongering all. Cheers, SW.
