I found that between rounds with the ladies being a monger was a lonely adventure. Sure it was great walking around and taking everything in but it would have been more fun to have a buddy along to make it more fun. Things like a $10 steak meal isn't as great alone than to have someone to bullshit with.
Tell me about it...
I've been here for three years, and not one of my old friends will come here to visit me. They think Juarez is some dangerous place where you have to dodge bullets to walk down the street and just won't make the effort to journey from Dallas to be here---despite they fact they are all in their 40's or 50's now and complaining bitterly about not being able to get any young pussy any more...:) Go figure. Nor are the guys around here any different. I can't reveal too much at work, so finding friends there is out.
The Juarez Tour Guide website really started with me imagining I had an imaginary friend with me in the city. I had learned so much, and I wanted to be able to say "Hey, man, right there is there the last battle of the Mexican revolution was fought, and the treaties were signed right there in that building with Pancho Villa looking on...Billy the Kid liked to sit right here in front of the church on Sundays...and now we're going to a place where I'm going to get you a girl who's about an 8 out of 10, and she's going to really *give* you some pussy instead of just making you think about it...and then we're going to have a sirloin steak so big it falls off the plate for $10."
My own sister got sick and tired of hearing about how wonderful Mexico is...how much I want to live there. Most of my friends did, too. It's as though we have all been programmed to think that our own world is the only world worth knowing, worth respecting, worth exploring, and anyone who ventures far from that beaten path is some kind of crazy aunt in the basement who must either be deluded or lying.
Pissed me off for quite a long while, and that's another reason the web site came into being, to set the record straight that Juarez is not a dangerous place, not any more than Dallas, Texas, where I grew up.
So my imaginary friend never came, but the lonliness didn't last. I made friends in Juarez instead, friends who are damn glad someone is going something to give the place some good press, and friends who were friends long before the web site ever came into being. It's kind of for them, too, because they are nice people who don't deserve to have their city smeared all over the American press as a den of cut-throats and thieves.
Perhaps the hardest part to believe about all of this is when we see how frustrated the men are in the U.S., and whey won't come join us or even believe us.
A great foreign adventure awaiting right there across the Rio Bravo, but only a few have enough of a sense of destiny to explore it. The rest, in my mind, are like Hobbits munching sweet cake in the shire, dreaming of adventure, yet scurrying away to hide in their Hobbit holes when Gandalf comes a calling for real...
I'm come to see that's where they belong, and that this is where I belong. So everything's cool now, but I totally was impacted by your comment about it being lonely here.
Worse, you can't tell many people about it when you get back, which is why we all probably keep coming back here.

Ah yes, it's been said long ago DE - as you are most likely aware of - "most men lead lives of quiet desperation". How sad.
-
DE you are so right but most forget that depending on WHERE you go and HOW YOU ACT makes an immense difference in how "dangerous" any place is. For myself, I liked the 5 or 6 times I visited CJ. Of course being currently for the next 6 days in Pattaya sort of gives me a different outlook...(still love Mexico, thouogh and it isn't a 20 hour plane ride)

Just arrived yesterday at Juarez. Stopped at MP Cleopatra but 3 dumpy girls there, so I went to the hotel. Went to massage Sirena in the afternoon, but only 3 chubby girls so I left. Went for a beer with a couple of guys from Arizona who were there for a day of mongering, and then to massage El Encanto next to (upstairs from ) Pappaguyos bar. 4 girls there about 3 pm. They quoted my friends $40 for an hour earlier that day. I got the slim girl for $30. I showed them and tried to use the $25 discount coupon for massage Sirena that I got from Dreaming Eagle and they told me the rate was $30. So I saved $10? She was 27 and had 3 kids, but didn't show stretch marks until in the room. Name was Perla. I don't recommend her. She started the massage by changing the rules and telling me that a bj was $20 additional once inside. I was not pleased that she tried to hit me up for another $20 after telling me $30 before was for "everything". Never trust a *****. I know why they call it *****z. She had 3 tatoos that were not real attractive. After having the beer without any food, and with her attitude, I had a hard time getting a nut off with her because I was not in the mood with her and she was nothing special. She was definitely bored and yawned several times in the massage room. Wasn't a sexy experience. No tip for her, definitely.
Went last night to Amadaus near Walmart. Cab driver tried to follow me inside to get his kickback $ for bringing me there, so I walked across the street to McDonalds to get away from this scam. The bar will add the $ to your first drink/cover charge or the cab driver will expect you to buy him a drink inside and the bar will over-charge you to cover his kickback. After cab driver left I went back across the street into Amadaus. Saw some good looking girls, but they demanded $200 for one hour. Yes I am not joking. Not for all night, for one hour only. And the girls only will strip down to a bikini suit as they dance at Amadeus, not topless or total nudity.
Left Amadeus after a $4 beer and the taxi driver outside wanted to charge me $10 to return to hotel, so I called the guy that drove me there for only $8. Remember the average wage there is about $10 a day or less. He came to Amadaeus and we stopped on the way back at a motel where girls waited in their cars for guys. They were asking $60 for short-time. Saw one that was satisfactory. About a 7-8 but the beer was getting me tired, so I went back to the hotel for some sleep.
Today I went to the Centro of Juarez, taking the bus for a few pesos. There is a park on Avenido 16 Sept. and a restaurant nearby. Saw 2 transvestites. One cute blond wanted $50 but said we had to use his (her) boarding house. Not a safe idea for me, and I prefer real girls.
Tried to pick up a girl at the park, but she was not interested. Only 17 but attractive. Maybe illegal. Offered her $50 and to buy her some clothes at the shopping mall, but she said she wanted to buy clothes with her own money. She made only $10 a day working in a factory.
I think the massage places are best value for your money. If you don't like what you see, just leave and go to another one. They are all hit or miss.
Juarez could be better, but there is little English spoken, and the girls are definitely not interested in an american, only the MONEY!!! Do not expect a GFE. They have their life down there, and it is different. Not better, just different, and a 3d world country.

Tell me to chill, how am I suppossed to react when I'm trashed personally on the forum?
Reading comments from guys about being afraid to walk from Casa Colorado to the Cave just shows how little y'all actually know about this place.

Gave her a $40 tip on the way out and she was totally freaked.
The sex was better than the last time. Rang my bell twice and she was ready for more. When it was time to go I rolled up some money in a $10 bill so she couldn't see how much. Would of loved to have seen her face when she unrolled it. It was less than one of my car payments but probably the biggest tip she ever got. Yes, I know, I'm an idiot and it made me feel like a big man which I know I'm not but I did it anyway. Went back to El Paso, finished my legitimate business and went home.
Okay, this is going to catch me hell from the old farts on this board, but f' it ...
Advice: do not give girls in the zona big tips. After moving here I discovered first hand that big tips usually just cause drug binging. The girl takes a mini-vacation and does drugs all week. You think your doing a nice thing, but your not. I'm not implying all the girls are drug-addicted, but many are, even in the clubs. Also, realize the bar-owners get 1/2 of all tips.

I agree and regret expressing my initial "shock and awe" that anyone would want to live among the druggies. But, like you say, to each his own, and what he discovers will definitely be untrod territory...my apologies, JD.
Regarding your other question about the bridge, there has been no change as far as I can see. I got across in 23 minutes last Sunday driving back on the Sante Fe.
Apology accepted....btw I am totally f'ing nuts for living here, and yes, I realize Bella Vista is *not* Mexico, but rather....political commentary ommitted for sake of fellow mongers :-)
Bella Vista, beautiful view in english, is the Colonia the zona is in.

Dude, I'm not going to flame you, but you *really* should not do something like that. I know the girls are beautiful, but stick to the zona or to the side corridors of the market where you know the girls are working. How would you like your 17 year old daughter being propositioned when she is innocently hanging out in the park?

Amen, brother. I get sick of people from shitholes like Detroit and Cleveland telling me how dangerous Mexico is.

i kind of pulled quotes from your post for comments. el encanto has never been my favorite place, but, as far as i know, it has never been a $40 place. the coupon for sirena's is a $30 coupon. the one for marilyn's is $25. trying to pick up ****d girls could get you arrested. as far as the gfe is concerned, i seldom have anything else, just from knowing where and when to go, i guess. so don't give up on juarez just yet...:)

A five dollar tip is enough to make her feel appreciated. I like to tell her for the kids, not for you, which always seems to bring a smile.

Another enchanted weekend unfolded. Spent Friday night at home chilling out and plotting my moves for the next day, plans which always change. Went to Corpus on Saturday and got with a pretty, slender favorita who is fairly new there. Had seen her walking up the street while parking the car the evening before, which got me to thinking about how good she is. She went across the street to Siete Leguas to order some food. Decided not to approach her out of respect for her privacy, but that smile she had flashed me had said it all. Waiting for her about an hour talking to the other girls. Took pictures of a new one and her sister, neither of them anything special, but it builds good PR to show up with a pic now and then for them. The favorita finally came in with the owner (who is pretty darn hot herself on the table). She seemed equally glad to see me and wasn't stingy with real kisses. She weighs all of about 110 pounds, this one, and her little pussy was all wet when I touched her, no lubricant or nothing. "Por qué tu ares mujada?" I asked her playfully. "Este!" she hissed, giving me a great hand job. She came hard in about 60 seconds, convulsing around me in a way no woman can fake. Turned her around doggie style and really gave her to her good then, her screaming all the way. Don't know if you guys care if they come or not, but to me, that's what it's all about---getting 'em off. Afterwards, she said she was sleepy now, that she had not been able to sleep the night before worried about money. Told her if she wanted to come to the house next Saturday before work, she could keep all of the money for herself and gave her my card. I'd say she's about an 8 on anybody's scale.
Did a couple of photo shoots downtown afterwards and caught up with my taxi driver friends and some of the store owners. Dropped by the history museum to show them them a print out of their pages, and they were pleased. The curator was quick to point out I had labeled one of the paintings as a Goya when it's actually a Valaquez. Got some better shots of both paintings. When I had seen them the first time I had no idea I was standing in front of a couple of the world's great masterpieces and just snapped without really concentrating on it.
Sunday was about as good as Saturday. At Masaje Brenda's they have a new girl, also small, and cute, not pretty like the one mentioned above. However, she was an awesome experience. When she got hot I playfully told her she was my "esclava pequeña" (little slave), and she really got into being playfully dominated. Had her on her knees giving me some wild head while I watched in the mirror even though she had told me at the beginning of the session I could have "oral o sexo", not both. I had told her when she went down I still intended to fuck her, and she just said, "claro" (sure). Mmmm....nothing like enthusism.
She also came very easily, and repeatedly. She also didn't make a move to get up when we had finished and asked me all kinds of questions about myself. She could not believe I was 52. "No me lo creo!" she said, touching my hair. "You have all your hair, and you're not fat. Natural?" I assured her it was naturally brown and that I thanked god my dad had had a full head of hair until his late 60's. "Good genes, very important." We talked this way until someone knocked on the door. She asked when I would come back and said if she had quit working there to look for her at Michelle's, which I surely will do.
For those of you trying to learn Spanish, I can't tell you how rewarding it is when all the fog finally starts to clear and you are understanding most of what you hear and are able to share your thoughts with people. It seems to come in quantum leaps instead of incremental progress. So never give up. I'm still not that good, but enough of the language has been mastered that it doesn't matter whether or not it's perfect or not. I'm sure it's part of the reason I am having such tremendous experiences with the girls these days. In the past it was hit or miss, but now it's great sex 90% of the time, whether it's with a new one or a long time favorita.
Ate at Frida's afterwards. This restaurant is on Triunfo de La Republica and served me some of the best bar-b-qued pork ribs I've ever tasted. The whole meal was about $12 with tip. Plus the place is beautiful inside. There was a set of drums on stage, so I'm sure they have live music on weekends. This might be a place to meet some really nice local girls. The place is named after Diego Rivera's long time lover, also a painter, and they have a whole wall of reproductions of her many self-portraits. Definitely 4 stars for you guys who enjoy nice restaurants.
The enchantment wore off a bit at the bridge. The line was pretty long for 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon, backed all the way up to Martinez on Avenida Juarez. The free bridge was just as bad, something I knew from having driven there first. When the lines are long, pick Avenida Juarez. You have to pay $1.80, but the line always moves faster.

Thanks, guys, but I did give up on Juarez after 2 days/nights.
Here's the story:
Friday, Cleopatras was recommended by an accomplace, but when we were there there were only gordas with trashy bleached hair and tatoos.
Sirena's had only 3 gordas most times I went there looking. The last time I checked there was a flaca, but she was old.
I described El Encanto previously. Only 1 of 4 was slim, but she was spoiled and boring.
Went on Saturday to:
Le Petit and there were 2 girls there, 1 gorda, one plain Jane.
Pink Lady had 1 of 3 girls that was doable, but after $6 for an orange juice and a lady's drink, they demanded $100 for an hour with her. Left there immediately after they mentioned the price.
Ended up at a place a couple blocks from Le Petit, on the same street. Can't recall the name now, I think it was called Genesis? and the MS had a gold business card. There were 7 fat girls working, and I talked with the guy who ran the place and he spoke perfect English. He said there was another girl working there who was slim. I waited for her to finish her other customer. Her name was Karen and she was slim. About 28 years old and had 3 kids, but slim. Had a scar from her navel to her pussy from a C-section. Suggest you try her, but keep the lights low.
Recommend Heraduras de los sotos (horseshoe) steak house next door to Papaguyos and a block from Hotel Villa Man Port. I never recommend restaurants, but this one was excellent. Try the filet mignon for $9. Excellent steak, onions, mushrooms, potato and beans with chips.
Sorry, but overall, I would not recommend a trip to Ciudad Juarez, especially if you are looking for a cute latin female encounter.

I wouldn't give up. If you have gone to Marilyn's you would have had your choice of three lovely young girls---all slender and clean with nice personalities, all early 20's. There is a real cutie at Corpus, too, right now.
The steakhouse El Herradero de Soto is one of my favorite places. Herradero refers to the brand put on cattle, and it also means more generally a rancher. No one I've ever met who's eaten there was disappointed.
Too bad the slender girls are harder to find than a great steak...but that's the lay of the land in Ciudad Juarez. There are diamonds there, though.
