Thanks Camaro.
During my 5 day excursion to Boca Chica last year I did a day trip to Juan Dolio which is about 15 minutes east. Juan Dolio was the difference between night and day in comparison to Boca Chica. The beach was cleaner there no touts nagging you and the town itself had a tranquil feel to it. I cannot speak to the PFP venues but I am sure something can be found. If I were going to relax close to La Capital I would choose Juan Dolio any day of the week over Boca Chica. Of course as in everything YMMV.
My goodness!
I follow a youtuber called Hobotraveler and he been to 92 countries and was robed by a local in DR who climbed up to and entered his 2nd floor balcony. I think it was in BC!!
The youtuber had mentioned how he will never go back to the DR and that he always heard of some tourist getting murdered there during his stay on a regular bases. I thought he said it because of his negative experience with the DR. Now, I'm begging to wonder if there is more truth to danger in DR.
I hope this is mainly limited to bad p4 p or tourists looking for trouble. Like drugs. Etc.
US citizen murdered in Boca Chica.
A US citizen was murdered in his apartment in Boca Chica in the early hours of Tuesday 9 September 2014. The police said that the murder took place at around 3 am and that two people have been arrested, including a Haitian prostitute who police say was with the victim before he died.
The deceased was named as 49-year old Ricky Daniel Jensel who, according to the certifying doctor, Magdalena Perez, had been stabbed.
The body was taken to the National Institute of Forensic Science for autopsy.
The regional director of the National Police, Brigadier General Hector Garcia Cuevas, is leading the investigation, and according to reports, the Haitian woman had bloodstains on her clothes.
Local people said that Jensel would often walk the streets in the morning with more than 20 dogs and that he would often take prostitutes to his apartment. They also said that he often argued with the woman who was arrested.
Police are also looking for her supposed husband.
He works as security / waiter at my favorite Haitian restaurant on the beach. He was living in my man Muscle Man's apartment 1 block from Villa Capri. BC is small and everyone knows you and who you are seeing after a few days. He has been there for years. RIP.
I have traveled extensively throughout the Dominican Republic from many points in between Las Terrenas and Boca Chica to of course include Sosua and in my humble opinion Boca Chica is the armpit of the Dominican Republic. Generally when I leave a Dominican destination I am hungry for more of the Dominican Republic but with Boca Chica not so much. I found the street hustlers and chicas more annoying than anyplace else and most things that can be found in Boca Chica can be found else where on the Island and better from the beach to the food. As in all things YMMV but as for me Boca Chica is the one Dominican destination I have visited that I have no desire to return.
I agree BC is an arm pit so to speak, but I like it. Its simplicity is relaxing. You make acquaintances fast and learn the do and do nots quicker. Its a small hustle town half the size of Sosua with 1/5 of the women and a lot more darker variety. Their is not as big of tension between the Dominicans and Haitians as the vibe is in Sosua. They seem to get alone better as a whole in BC. Its beach seen is more tourist relaxing than Sosua because of its accessibility to the restaurants and beach bars. On Sundays hundreds of people come there from SD to get away from the city. I have my p4 p SW and brothels, gym, beach, restaurants, pharmacies, groceries store, major bus transit (import / export chicas) and relaxing places to hangout. You don't need a car. The place is 15 minutes easy from the airport.

The JD seen is very laid back. JD is half the size of BC. Hotels are nicer and cheap. The place is dead after 5 pm. No night life. No corners to turn. Not many restaurant to go or to places to hang out. No touts nagging you because only a few tourist stay there. Brush up on your Spanish. If you are seasoned and want to import / export chicas impressively JD is a good choice in my opinion. Understand you will be stuck with each other with no night life so you better have some inform of entertainment. BC is the bad word for a good girl to tell her friend she is going to meet a gringo. But if she says JD her friends will be impressed. JD is and 10 miles east of BC which is 15 minutes east of SDQ. A lot of people from SD have second homes in JD and go there on holidays. The place it too small and boring for me. Its like mongering jail at night. I never heard about a p4p venue there but it is the DR,

The bar / restaurant where he worked is a nice place owned by a Haitian American guy, his boss always called him Tarzan. He seemed to be living on the edge down there and always seemed down on his luck. I'm sorry to hear this happened to him. RIP.
GrownMan,
Can you do a bro a solid and pass on her info if you have it. You can PM me. The body is diffinately-9/10, attitude / personality-9, service -8/9, and she looks way better in-person. She speaks very little English if any, but seemed intelligent with good conversation. I haven't seen her since October when I was in Boca Chica on a quick trip from Sosua. I made this post because of this pic. I lost contacts along with pics that were on my phone.
I got your info my man.
Hi guys,
I am going to Boca Chica next week staying at the Don Juan hotel. Any tips on this hotel.
Thanks in advance.
Hotel is right on the beach, great location. Relatively modern and clean, rooms large, good AC. Hotel on par with the Dominican Bay Resort. It's all-inclusive, and the restaurant is better-than-average, food actually pretty good, nice selection. High security at beach entrance and main entrances. I didn't try to penetrate the security with any girls, looks like it might not be possible.

Transportation help
I haven't been to Boca Chica in a while. I need some help, guys. Outside of the taxi drivers waiting to pick up customers at SDQ and overcharging them to take them to their hotels is there any other alternative? Has anyone tried A2 B transfers? How about bus service? If there is a bus do they mind me bringing bags onboard?

Don Juan
Anyone knows if Don Juan hotel in Boca Chica is chica friendly? I'm hearing different things.

Chica friendly hotel
Anyone knows if Don Juan hotel in Boca Chica is chica friendly? I'm hearing different things.
Thanks
I am planning on going to Boca Chica in about a month. This will be the first time that I will be staying at the Hotel Garant. I do recall someone on this board saying that they were chica friendly but just to make sure I directly emailed the hotel and asked them if they allowed me to bring guests into my room (I did not mention anything about chicas although I think they got the hint). They responded that they did as long as the person had a cedula.
A friendly piece of advice is to email Don Juan directly and ask them. Here is the website http://donjuanbeachresort.com/en
