Hey Fellow MG's,
I may book zapatas the room in the beach bldg $65 per night has anyone been there can they enlighten me on the room and property?
I have stayed at Hotel Zapata a few times and enjoyed my time there. The rooms are small and the price is high for Boca Chica. I guess you are paying extra because the hotel is right on the beach. When you check in make sure you get their written chica policy.
One good thing breakfast is included in the price of the room. It is a small breakfast, eggs, ham, toast, juice and coffee but just enough to get you started for the day.
Another hotel option would be Costalunga which has a pool and always a bunch of English speaking guys there to talk with. Costalunga has decent rooms with a refrigerator. You can easily take a motoconcho to and from Calle Durate.

I am thinking of booking 1 night then move if I don't like it but I'm not sure if June 5 weekend I will be able to switch. Can anyone recomend a nice hotel with pool and things to do near Duarte and on the beach. Nonb-inclusive but a nice hotel.
Thanks
Try the El Candil Hotel very nice pool, service and 2 blocks from main street all for approx.$50.00 per nite.
Try the El Candil Hotel very nice pool, service and 2 blocks from main street all for approx.$50.00 per nite.
I never stayed at Candil but Zapata is a very nice Hotel. I know the owners son pretty well (Eduardo) and one of the workers there (Mckensie). They are both cool ass dudes. Also it's located right off the beach so it's a convineint location. Kinda gets annoying sometimes ecause you can't relax without someone trying to sell you something. The good and the bad I guess of the location. My only issue I have with Zapata is that when you order food with them it seems to take forever just to get a small meal. Either that or walk down the street to one of the resturants.

boca chica update
just left boca chica, stayed at the El Canndil. Actually fairly decent. the wireless service leaves something to be desired but all in all okay. Cost was $50. There is a house across the street some doable girls there decent attititude.
IMHO the chica quality was better than in Santo Domingo, younger and better looking. see SD report.
Took 1 girl from the bar next to the disco, actually her mother was a bartender and she had her come down, paid 2500, excellent service and very good looking, tall, fair skin. Took another from the braech, she looked young, did not have her ID (which El Candil requires), went to short time place behind the beach bars paid 300 for the room with rubbers. the girl was 1000. actually gave her 500 propina as she was good, said she was 18, was 5 months pregant already had milk. Also said she had a 1 year old. Serveral to choose from from Haitans girls to DR girls, so dark to fair.
I was only in BC for 1 night but i would encourage you to consider it with these major reservations. For evry 1 girl there are 5 boys, trying to be your guide. It is past annoying. Leaving the hotel they would be right in your face trying to show you the place across the street. The girls are setting outside. As you try to walk to calle Draute , the beach street, they follow you on the couchs or cyclyes and try to introduce you to the street girls. They really need to clean up this. If you have a wingmanokay but by yourself, it is a little scary at night. Beggers abound, one begger was carrying around a broken window from a car. I have no idea if it has value but it would do some damage. While at a restrauant a 50+ lady helped herself to the chair across from me a started to reach for food on my plate. I relocated to a position closer to the wait staff.
Agin, I liked the choses of chicas but be very careful and have a thick stomach for the touts & beggers.

Boca Chica trip
Hey,
Hanks for the info I just got back from Boca Chica. I was with my Dominican Novia for most of the trip.
The beach was stunning, The hotel Zapata was great! PM for info. The staff was as good as they say. The Hotel Hamaca was a great retreat from all the pressure of the Hustlers. It was cheap like 70 per person all you can drink, eat and shows too. If you registar a girl with you it will be OK. Same as zapata no problems. I thought the Girls were rather more of the African darker features then The India/Latinas that I've seen in other Mongering destinations. My friends pulled some sweet Hatianas from a Place for a todo la noche that were fine.
All in all the City Of Santo Domingo has some good tourist options though everybody had there hand out and actually asked for tips. No tact whatsoever from any vendors or beggars. It was by far cheaped then Montreal, Rio De Janiero and Costa Rica which Iver been this year. By far. Lots of Poverty but Nice people and Beach just need to clean up the Hustlers a little. I thought the Hawks, vendors, Beggars and Moto conch thugs were so overbearing I would never return to Boca Chica again.
PM for any details Id be glad to Help. QR

Hotel Madejra
Anyone stayed at the Madejra.
I will be making my first trip to Boca Chica in a few months and my nephew wants to stay at this hotel.
Thanks you.

You can do much better than the Madjera. I stayed there in 2005 and left after two days, bad attitude from the management coupled with not great accomodations.
Not sure if things have changed sionce then.

My favorite place is Costalunga. Chica friendly, double chica friendly, nice rooms, pool, and a great place to just hang out.

Girl friendly is easy to obtain. Just start out by giving the night security guard a 100 peso propina, give the maids at the hotel a gift, find a good motoconcho driver and pay 25 pesos instead of the going rate of 20 pesos. A few extra pesos spent here and there will make a big difference in your stay in Boca Chica. The guard, the moto dude, the cleaning lady all have little black books with numbers for chicas. Be nice and they will treat you nice. I know from experience.

Thanks for the info.
By the way, is there a Casino in BC.

Costalunga
Second thumbs up on Costalunga. You can hang in the restaurant, sit out front, bar/restaurant less than one minute walk upon turning right out the front door and car wash across the street. How could a guy go wrong? Nice pool area too.

Thank you.
I went quite a few posts back but could find no infor on clubs in Boca Chica. Any recommendations?
