Yes, I'm booked into something similar to Blackbeard's. There are a few places offering roughly the same thing in BC. I had a few reasons for choosing BC, convenient flight connections, close to the capitol for a sightseeing trip. I spent a few months looking at the options, before making a choice. I chose Club Fantasy Island in BC. It doesn't appear to be a scheme of any sort. The place has been around for 4 years, with the same owner, at the same location. I've read reports from the place from a wide range of people, over a fairly long time period. I've even had quite a few conversations with several past visitors. All reports are that the place is clean and well maintained, with a decent on-site restaurant. All food and drink, for 2 people, is included, and I didn't have to pay a big deposit. I get a free ride from the airport and if everything is not as promised, I can walk away, head to Garant or Villa Capri and go the traditional route, without risking a dollar.
Granted, it could be an elaborate setup, involving 20 to 30 people (or 2 to 3 people, good enough at pretending to fool a long time cynic), hoping to scam me out of a few grand, but I feel confident in my choice. My own opinion, based solely on my research, is that it should be on about the same level as Blackbeard's. My trip is still some time off, but I will be happy to report on the experience afterwards.

Bc
Boca Chica is all a man needs until he finds Sosua. For the new guy it is cheap and convenient air travel and within 5 minutes of leaving the airport you are in your hotel and within a hour you have hooked up on your favorite habit and scored your nights lady. It is like the old west. Are you really looking for a new and shinny place to do your deal.

Here's some more information so you can decide if I'm doing something sensible. The place I'm planning on staying is the second variety of AI, ala Blackbeard's. If it's a scheme, someone is wasting their talents. The place has been around for over 4 years with the same owner, at the same location. They have a large number of chicas, that work (in theory) exclusively for them, to choose from. The rates include a chica 24/7, with the opportunity to change every day, all meals and drinks for 2, accomodations in what looks to be an average 3 star hotel, plus transportation to / from the airport. The restaurant and bar is on site and reported to serve good food. The overall price comes out to be about $100 - $200 more per day, versus staying at Villa Capri or Garant, scavenging for my own meals and chicas, and handling the airport transportation myself, if I didn't have any problems with restaurants overcharging, chicas taking their own tip while my back was turned, or taxis being unable to find Boca Chica without charging a ridiculous fee. For me the extra money is worth avoiding the hassles.
I spent a few months going over the options when I decided on this trip, checked out websites and forums, took some time to read reviews, reports and horror stories. I've talked with several former and current customers of the place, and have yet to hear anything negative. Worst case, after the free ride to BC, if everything isn't up to my expectations, I walk away, and make my own arrangements, without losing anything. Nothing has been paid for except my airline tickets.
Why choose BC? It worked out to be more convenient for me and the price was right. I realize it's not the jewel of the Caribbean and I don't mind spending a week in a squalid dump, I've probably seen worse. As for being streetwise, I'm not, but I've always been very good at avoiding trouble. One of the reasons I chose this type of trip, instead of the standard mongering vacation is to avoid the street hassles. I don't want to spend 3 or 4 hours a day, finding and choosing a chica and then haggling over price and service. I don't want to wander around looking for the right restaurant and play dysentery roulette at every meal. I just want to relax and have other people deal with any problems. This place tells me they will do that, and the people I've talked to back that up.
Either I did my research correctly and the place is legit, or it's a very elaborate scam involving quite a few people (or just a few, very convincing actors). Since I don't have to pay until I've seen it with my own eyes, I'm betting on legit. I don't want to advertise for them, but I'll gladly share the information via pm, if you want to do a sanity check on me.

Cabanas

The last one I used it looked like the owner used as an electronics repair shop. There were open TVs and shit scrawled all over the room. Who knows what they will charge you. It appeared the girl made the price, because when it came time for me to pay after the deed the guy slyly asked her how much she had told me. I paid 200 pesos.
Boca Chica is all a man needs until he finds Sosua. ... It is like the old west.
Agreed. Maybe not a problem to you or me, bu jjbee has made it quite clear he is not the Wild West type and is prepared to pay a premium to find quite the opposite.
-
Without jjbee providing enough further information to reassure us he is doing something sensible, I strongly advise him to rethink and book into Blackbeards instead.
I think I would agree with you Charles Pooter. I have not been to Boca Chica or Blackbeard but reading the forum, it does sound like smooth sailing at Blackbeards, something that would not rob JJbee of his pleasure and where he can let his hair down. However, given that he has planned it for Boca Chica, I presume, he is landing in SDQ and one needs to coach him as to how to get to Costambar which is somewhat tortuous, more so because he is a first timer in that land and may or may not speak the local lingo.

Sorry about the repeats
My posts disappeared into limbo, and thinking they were lost forever, I repeated myself. I appreciate the input, it hasn't changed my plans, but I will be more aware, and if the situation arises where you want to tell me "I told you so", I will give you the opportunity. I'll give a full report after my trip and maybe a live update during. I've still got about 7 weeks to wait. Maybe by then the snow will be gone.
Are the fuck rooms advertised or the chica knew of them. Are there any hotels that just chage by the hour? Thanks.
There are sereval fuck room in BC. The easies is the place right next to Gustos just walk up stairs and make arrangements with the guy running the place that night. Don't let a street hustler or tout do it for you. Or you can just talk with the security guard at Gustos and make a deal with him for a short time. 500 to 800 pesos until you are finished. He will also make sure the chica don't bullshit you.
My posts disappeared into limbo, and thinking they were lost forever.
If I understand correctly, new posters' posts are delayed for monitoring, as are the posts of some regular posters who have displeased the management in the past. So they turn up out of sequence a day or so later.

Ihave been there.

The first time we picked up the girl at the Yellow House and her and I spent the week at a small all inclusive in Juan Dolio since he was still working out his hotel deal. The second time stayed at his place in Boca Chica and the girls still came from the Yellow House. I thought it was great for my first couple trips out of the country since everything from the time you arrive until you leave is taken care of. Since then I have made 10 more trips to the DR and basically do Sosua and BB with trips to PC and the east coast. Was a good first introduction to the country. Food was acceptable and the beer and wine were of good quality. No Brahma but Presidente and I believe mixed drinks were available.
You can change girls once a day or keep them the whole time. One guy traded three times in one day and ended up with the one he started with.
The worst part of the the whole arrangement is having to listen to Charles drone on about all the things he has done but unlimited Presidente helped with that.
Hope you have fun I know I sure did.

Thanks Bogiemaker
It's at the same hotel I'm Boca Chica, but a different guy. Peeiastron is still around, but I don't think they are doing much business. The guy running this place seems decent. Rather than getting chicas from yellow house, he seems to have his own, that work exclusively for him. At least in theory.
I'm still 7 weeks away from my arrival, but I'll report back.

The girls are brought from the bordello he owns in La Caleta and most are pretty pleasant. The food comes from the Nancy not even 150 meters from the hotel. I am not aware of any other A. I. of this type in Boca Chica.

I'm pretty confident I'll be okay, unless I go crazy waiting for my vacation.
