question on nicer places in Boca Chica / Driver?
I originally posted this in SOUSA but realized we are flying into Santo Domingo SDQ and I don't want to drive 3 hours+ to Sousa when we are only there for 3 days.
So I guess it's Boca Chica for us unless someone has a better idea near SDQ.
I'm hosting the three of us for 3 days.- we all speak Spanish, and we would like to find a more upscale place to stay in Boca Chica (or? That's close to SDQ) for the three days that's girl friendly, on the beach, and if possible on the small side.-- and definitely on the beach.
Does anything like this exist?
I'm also looking for a driver to pick us up at the airport (SUV) and be our driver for the three days we are there so we don't have to worry about taxis all the time.
I've toyed with the idea of staying at the Hilton in Santo Domingo as "home base" so I know our stuff is safe and just driving into Boca Chica each day and staying over if we need to. But Hilton isn't exactly beach-front.
When I say nice hotel I don't necessarily mean the Hilton.-- Hilton would be my entry-level for "decent hotel", but it shows girl-friendly in the posts. I love the way they list the $30 non-registered guest fee on their website.-- Conrad would be proud.
And of course I'd love to line up some carmel-skinned athletic ladies before we even land (why waste time, right? )
Any input or help would be most appreciated.
Two Good Options: Juan Dolio Condo or the Hamaca/Motel Combo

If you're looking for girl-friendly vacation rentals on the beach, you may want to consider looking at the Metro properties (approx. US$200-400/night) in Juan Dolio. Juan Dolio is 30 minutes from Las Americas Airport (SDQ), 15 minutes from Boca Chica, and 60 minutes from the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo.
Nevertheless, staying in Juan Dolio puts you an hour away from the action (houses, discos, bars, women) that can be found in Santo Domingo. Also, if you are going to stay in Juan Dolio, I would highly recommend renting a car (Alamo: approx $30-50/day.)

If you have your heart set on Boca Chica, just stay at the all-inclusive Hamaca Hotel. It's on the beach, but it's not girl friendly. When you arrive at the Hamaca Hotel, just scout out a girl-friendly motel near the Hamaca. There are a few girl-friendly motels within several blocks of Hamaca that cost between US$20-US$40/night.
You can try your luck at the Don Emilio and the Zapata Hotel; however, I can't provide you with any recent personal experience regarding either establishment. I don't believe that either hotel receives much praise on this board. Also, you may want to check with Metro regarding properties they may have in Boca Chica.
