I've made a couple of trips to BC and the last trip was probably 5 years ago. All of the other trips were up by Sosua. Anyway, I stayed at Hotel Costalunga both times in BC. Is there still a car wash kind of across the street from Costalunga? Out the front door of Costalunga, and maybe a 30 degree angle to the right and across the street?
All I ever had to do was go get a room at Costalunga, go to that car wash and go back to Costalunga. Is that car wash still there?
Damn the car wash. Is Costalunga still there? I just tried to go to the website and it doesn't exist anymore. I tried to call and nobody answered..(I know they aren't usually there this late though.)
Just put a request in at that santodomingoapartments link too. $72 isn't too bad for a 2 BR with free wireless. I last remember paying $60 for a 2 BR at Costalunga.

I would recommend Residencia Candil. 24/7 security gate. Great staff. Casa right across the street next to little store. About 5 min walk to Durate where the action is. Safe area. One bd apt is 56 includes tax.
Where on Duarte is the action?
Everywhere, lol.
I stayed at Costalunga in January and it hasn't changed - the website has just been down for work for a long time.
Whether there is much action on Duarte is debatable. Since the policia still arrest chicas on Duarte if they aren't employees of the clubs or escorted much of the freelance p4p is literally Anywhere-But-Duarte. In my opinion the chicas in the lobby of Costalunga or on avenida del sur outside or the little bars on the calle leading out to the main highway are much better quality. I haven't tried the casas but they seem better quality as well. There is one right around the corner from Costalunga next to the colmado (across from Candil).
They still put the tables in the street and make a show of having a nightlife, but it's more a sort of slightly naughty tourist attraction for the couples from the AI's. The wives can go back comforted that ho's really are crude, fat and ugly.

I'm returning next week to BC for a couple days. When I was there in January there was alot of action on Durante, not the quality or quanity of Sosua, but no lack of p4p. You write that there are chicas on a calle leading out to the main highway. Can you tell me the street name or how to get there from Durante? Also, where are the bars on Ave del sur in relationship to Durante?
The street to the main highway is Caracol and Duarte if you walk east will bend around at the Hamaca and become Caracol. Avenida del Sur, the street that Costalunga is on, is parallel to Duarte and north a couple blocks. It's a very small town that's easy to get familiar with.
There are no bars on Avenida del sur. There are chicas wandering around looking for extranjeros, and there is an internet place at costalunga and chicas hanging out there and in the lobby. There are several bars on Caracol.
www.bocachicabeach.net/ has a good street map. it's outdated as far as bars on Duarte but otherwise it shows the town in as much detail as you'll need.
There's no reason not to check out Duarte, just don't go with high expectations. You may be pleasantly surprised. I found a chica who worked there named Lucia who was a very hot 21 year old spinner and a very good find. The general ambiance and quality of chicas however wasn't good.

I sent an email to Mario 3 days ago and still have not received a reply. The chick Nicoletta at santodomingoapartments said she couldn't reserve an apt for me for 1 day but to call the day before or come by to see if there is a vacant one. She added that in any case there are plenty of hotels nearby.

Ther'sz one bar on avenida del sur called "mata tiempo". Avoid it it's full of haitianas which are very bad girls while looking as good ones.
They will play the GFE with you and then ask you to pay the big price.
The duarte girls are better than them and that says a lot.
I just spend 3 nights in Boca Chica. All my scores took place in the little park and were 8's and 9's. I'm very selective and the fishing was great. I didn't need to fight off all the putas at the bars which was nice for a change. However, there were some great lookers there if you are a night person. Don't discount Boca Chica!
If you just want to check it out, just have a cab take you to the station with gua guas for BC. It's near parque enriquillo. Cab 200 pesos from Central SD to the station, gua gua was 50 pesos (each way) last year. On the return trip you catch a gua gua from the BC parque central to the bus station on the main highway (free) and ask for the express bus to SD. You pay the cobrador when he comes collecting once the bus is underway. It takes a bit over an hour each way and buses leave when they a full all day long.
There are always some interesting chicas in the shops or about but it's not all that obvious. If you like to people watch find a bench in the shade in the parque central where you get off the bus.
If you are traveling light, and confortable w/ spanish that's not a bad way to get around.
When I went last year - I footed the cab fare from SDQ to BC.
Coming back - I went via bus as you described.
Last stop - right at the start of Clle Conde.

I did that once. I found a bench in the shade and just watched people for an hour or so and was quite entertained. Then a young shy chica sat down next to me and we started talking. I took her to lunch and she had no cedula. She also had no cell phone. She was very cute and claimed to be 18 so I paid for her moto home and back to get her ID. She was just a month past her 18th birthday. We went window shopping and I bought her a cell phone for 1100 pesos. She went absolutely nuts over the phone and refused to let it out of her hand. We spent much of the rest of the day and night having sex every which way and I paid for her concho home. She was what Helpman calls a Gazelle and they do graze in that park.

Going to Santo Domingo is a no brainer. The cobrador/conductor will assist you. However for me, getting back to Boca Chica has always been a challange. If I didn't know Spanish I would still be walking around in the dark. Be careful!
