The Purpose of the PM Feature
Adjarn -
You are out of line. I am the member that Bono chose to PM; and he did so while I was in Bangladesh.
The purpose of the PM feature is so that members can communicate with one another PRIVATELY while still maintaining their anonymity. Bono did this and was completely within his rights and the purposes of the PM feature in doing so.
If I were Bono, I would not have announced to the Forum publicly my intention to PM another member with private information. But that does not alter his right to do as he did. And it certainly does not give you the right to that information.
For you to call for Jackson to end someone's membership because they choose to utilize the PM feature is ridiculous. Would you not want the same right if you chose to communicate with another member privately? Where in the Forum rules does it say that if I communicate with another member privately via PM, I am required to disclose all of those details to the entire Forum?
LJ
P.S. Instead of calling for his expulsion from our little club, why not just PM Bono yourself and ask him if he will share the information with you? He might do so. But, of course, he is not required to do so.
It's Not Easy in Bangladesh
I want to echo what Abalad said below. My second trip to Bangladesh was last month and I got laid only because a business associate arranged and paid everything for me. If you are a white guy (as I am) travelling in Bangladesh it is not impossible to find pussy, but it is not easy. Unlike Cambodia or Thailand, where sexuality is open and celebrated, Bangladesh is a Muslim society where this stuff goes on but it is very hush-hush.
I never travel alone there and I don't recommend travelling alone. Bangladesh is tough for a Westerner to navigate, given the language and cultural differences. But, unless the guy accompanying you is "cool" with respect to finding you a sex partner, it is difficult. (I had to break away from my assistant/interpreter for a few hours, telling him I had a private meeting to attend.)
I do believe that many of the young, male workers at hotels can help you with this, though I tried this and got nowhere. I will try again next trip. I saw some of the tribal girls in Cox's Bazar (at the Burmese Market there) and they looked really nice. I've been told some of them are available at bargain prices. I'll keep trying and let you all know if I am successful.
I don't want to discourage anyone, but it is no easy task getting around in Bangladesh and I do not recommend any of you try it on your own.
