The 6000 dollar question?

By now, her attitude had turned really bad so I asked her to leave. She refused demanding the 300 RMB and started shouting for the hotel staff. Since my client and business associates were just down the hall, I gave it to her and she left.
I get myself into these situations from time to time and usually just give in to demands to avoid any trouble. Did I do the right thing? Should I have just called the hotel security and told them I had an unwanted guest in the room? Should I have tried to be more forceful and throw her out physically?

Hi OAH,
Since you had business associates and clients on the same floor, I believe you did the correct thing. I would have fought it more if I was alone. At the end, I would gave her something but a lot less. I'm sure she would have accepted less than what she was asking (300RMB) especially if hotel security came. Suggest maybe next time booking a room on a different floor from you clients and associates. Even booking a room on a different floor might not help if something BIG happens.
I might be in Chengdu, Sichuan area for vacation in April. If I see her I can give her a hard time for you. For example, I could call her to my hotel and waste her time.
Hope, you are NOT mad at me or disagree on too much about my comments on ISG because I sent you a PM and no answer??

Hello,
New to this forum and new to China I'm right now in Chengdu for business trip.
I'm staying at the JinJiang Hotel, and so looking for any good spots or advices near by?
Also if someone want to make me discover some great place in Chengdu tomorrow (Wednesday 14) or Thursday 15, I'll pay the beer ;-)
