Yes you can take the bus from the airport to San Jose. It is about a 10-12 mile trip and the fare is around $ 1.00 USD.

Getting to Jaco from the airport in San Jose will be tricky.....if you can do it at all.

The airport is North of San Jose.....and the Jaco bus has to go North from San Jose to get to...

Check out Jaco Beach CR....you can do both there...and the both gals and the fishing are pretty good.

If you are leaving from Florida to go to CR - try MartinAir out of Miami....they have had some great discount deals in the past----but don't know what their current prices are like.

To my knowledge....Interbus should deliver you to your specific hotel. Just tell the driver when you get aboard.

Taxi's are plentiful and easy to get at night in San Jose. Even more so during daylight.

Stand on any corner of any major throughfare and in any given 5 minute period there should be 4-5 or more...
