I always laugh at the people who preach no walking after dark. It gets dark in Costa Rica at like 6PM. If you're scared to be outside at that time, you might as well stay home.

There are a variety of women, not sure how Tijuana is, but can you get Colombianas, Nicas, Dominicans and of course Ticas in San Jose.

For the short terms my favorite in the area is La Oficina it's in Barrio Amon.

September and October are the rainiest months in Costa Rica. Last September was fairly dry though, but this year there has been more rain. Depending on where you all have been SJ might be a let down...
