I forgot to add the Hyatt Reegency that opened about a year ago, I think. This is around Soi 11, so it's between Nana and Cowboy. A bit more expensive than the Grand Hyatt but it's pretty nice. The...

For US $ 400/ night you can probably choose any 5 star hotel in BKK and have plenty over. For a mid December booking the Park Hyatt is $250 ++ and the Grand Hyatt about $140. I'm a Hyatt member so I...

Yes, I stayed there about a year or so ago, just after it opened. It's very good. You will find several reviews further down.
-
I used to stay there regularly several years ago but then I just couldn't get a room there. Always fully booked. Haven't tried to book in there for a few years now, but I'd imagine the reason you...

You say not the Hyatt but the Hyatt Place in Soi 24 can be had for around 2,500. It's girl friendly and about 300 m from the BTS and EmQuartier. If you're a Hytt member you get a better rate.

Was in BKK last weekend and thought I'd try the new Hyatt Regency. FYI, this place isn't cheap and for most mongers they wouldn't want to waste money here. Since I'm only in town for a few days every...

I think he is having a lend. I doubt any Thai girl would go back for a shag at a hostel with other people sharing the room. Whilst there are plenty of P4 P girls on the scene in BKK the reality is...

I think you can cross at the Nana BTS station. There is an escalator near Soi 8. Not sure about the exit / entance on the other side as I haven't been on that side for a while, however that is where...

He's in a resort area, could be coming up from Hua Hin?
-
NW, SE. North West, South East I would suspect. Probably more useful for Americans who's cities are set out in this fashion but not for many others. Probably just saying the nearest BTS station would...
-
All three Hyatt's are, I stay at all of them pretty frequently. Westin is, I stayed there but it was a long time ago.
-
Hyatt Place on Soi 24, the elevators bypass the reception if you're staying on the lower floors, up to FL. 16 from what I remember. Above that you need to change elevators but you could probably do...
-
Not always the case. I'm a regular at the Hyatt all around the world and I have a corporate rate with them through my own company. Sometimes the corporate rate is cheaper than the members rate but...

All three Hyatt hotels in BKK are GF. I've stayed in all.
-
Yes, definitely girl friendly, but they do need to register unless it's during the day. I've stayed there heaps of times but I've never actually been to Spasso. I think the girls there are pretty...

Grand Hyatt Erawan is great. The Hyatt in Jakarta has been renovated since you were last there, I stayed there quite often around 18 months ago.
-
I stayed at the Hyatt place on Si 24 just after is opened. Rooms are a bit small but it's really good value and the location is reasonable good. Not much of a walk to the BTS. I pretty much...
-
I've stayed at the Park Hyatt, it's a great hotel and the location is better than the Grand Hyatt. Reasonably easy walk to Nana and cheap taxi back.
-
The connection is from the hotel to Nana BTS. If you are on that side of the road you will be able to go into the hotel and cross over. Not sure what other accesses they will have.
-
I think that's correct, but at least you can walk from the hotel to the other side of Sukhumvit above ground. You won't have to go to the soi 3/4 corner to cross our go up to the BTS first.
-
Another Hyatt hotel is opening this year (3rd Quarter), the Regency in Soi 13. According to their website they will have direct access to Nana BTS, so it will be an easy stroll to NEP. No prices on...

Agree 100%. Travelled to India many times and within India itself. No fun at all.
-
That's interesting, I always find beds in Asia far to firm for me. I find the beds at all the Hyatt's to be great, but you pay a bit more to stay there.
-
I think most hotels in Bangkok have been gradually pushing up prices for a few years now, some just slightly whilst others have big jumps. I don't rally look at budget hotels these days, I'm usually...
-
No, I didn't ask about a joiner fee and didn't pay one either.
Yes, you can bypass the lobby. The entrance is on the ground floor whilst the lobby is one floor up. From the ground floor you can go...
