I'm doing some research for an upcoming trip and below are my thoughts on the current 5 star Sukhumvit Wot hotels:
Marriott Executive Apartments, Sukhumvit Park.

I recently stayed 3 nights at the Bless Residence on Sukhumvit 33/2. I paid 2030 a night through Latestays.
I like the location (it's in the sub soi opposite Livingstone's) and the hard product...

Because it is my preference so it matters to me. End of story.
Thanks for the feedback.

Can anyone advise if the Premier Studio has a separate shower or only shower over bath?
-
I was referring to the 5* one going for 2800 baht as per your clarification.. Your one is 4.5 stars and presumably cost less.
-
Assuming you mean, Sukhumvit, the one that mentions Skytrain & Sunway is Grand Millenium Suk and the one that mentions IP Phones etc I'm pretty sure is S31.
-
Can you be more specific? There are quite a few in the different price ranges.

My point was that Soi 4 to 19 doesn't have a monopoly on good hotels. Just pick your preferred location and find a suitable hotel. Easy.
I think in essence we agree. I'm not suggesting people...
-
Why? Most areas of Bangkok have good hotels. Surely you pick your preferred area and then find a suitable hotel?
I agree although Latestays is pretty good also and doesn't require you to pay 100%...

This looks to be a quality new option in the Soi 33 area. It appears to be in the former car park next to the Office Bar.

Hi Mick,
I agree with all you have said I guess my point is that it seems to be the cheapest hotel site at the moment. The idea of the WOT Hotel is you're not supposed to know which one it is so...

I've noticed that Thai Hotel Discounts have some very good deals at the moment. I've never used them but am considering it for my my next trip.
As an example they have the GM for 2560 until the...

The other is not so obvious. I'll let you know if I figure it out!

Google will show that the deal for 2099 is the President Palace Hotel.

According to Wotif.com it ends on 20th October. A few weeks back it ran only until 30th September and it was extended. Hopefully they extend it again as I don't arrive until late October.

I stayed there about 10 years back. No idea about GF but a basic clean hotel in a fairly good location if you like Cowboy. Smallish pool on roof. OK value at 1400 baht on Wotif.com - certainly...

Thanks for checking it out.

Barko,
Thanks for the tip. Do you know if there is an option to pay a higher upgrade fee to an Executive Room with access to the Lounge?
Cheers,
Rambis

Glad you enjoyed the Asoke Residence. I went for Novotel Siam because it seemed the best deal (highest rack rates). I wished almost immediately to changed it to this property.
The worst thing...

Just an update on this. Definitely the Marriott, I made a booking today. I think I prefer the SGS but at this price not worth the extra baht.

Check out the Wotif mystery hotel

Seems very similar to:

If so...

That's interesting. I jumped in and booked Novotel Siam because it seemed like the best deal for a centrally located hotel. My research after booking tells me it's not GF. The hotel themselves say...

Hi Soap Fan,
I don't think breakfast is compulsory. It just happens to be listed below sales conditions of rate. If you click on the sales conditions, you get the following:
