The rates are somewhat unbelievable compared to REAL Ukraine.

Last year I have found without any search a Siemens mobile for about 70 US$ (shop near train station, Celentano-Pizza on the roof).

Best deal would be to buy a used mobile at a market (rinok).

All shops offer new mobiles for 50 euro + 10 euro for the number.

The catch is that YOU don't speak Russian ;-).

It is possible to get a visa at the airport. But only in Odessa and Simferopol. This kind of visas are turistvisas, so you need also a voucher of an travel agency. Visa will cost about 30 $.
