Thanks for the FYI! I had heard about at least one place doing renos but no reopenings just yet.
-
I agree, the taxi driver is simply trying to be helpful. Probably safer too if it is later at night. Yes, I know SG is safe but Geylang can get a bit wild at times.
-
I didn't think you could bargain either. Of course, I don't want to mess with the ah bengs sitting outside.
-
You're welcome.
In OT, you don't need to drink alcohol. I just order a Coke and nurse it. Chat up the ladies? What for? And I think that the majority of them can suggest a nearby Fragrance or...

I don't know anything about the Viet houses if there are any.
You will not find Filipinas in Geylang's legal houses. You may find them on the street but best is probably OT and elsewhere.
-
It's tied to nationality.
Cat50 or some of the Thai houses will be on Lor 16.
-
It's because you have hit upon the Cat50 houses. The prices of the legal brothels are Cat50, Cat80 and Cat150. Each racial group is priced differently so Thais are usually SGD50 and SGD80. Chinese...

Went down to Westerhout H45 yesterday afternoon and there were only about seven Thai women in the two fishbowls. I was not impressed. Hoping for a more petite body type. I then moved on over to Lor...
-
I believe Lor16 has Thai houses in the $50 range. I tried those once and never went back. Just a quickie in a tiny room where the girl lives and works out her contract.
-
Great post!
I may be "inspired" to check out that House #45 today. A few years back I went to Lor20 (House18?) for my Cat150 fix but gave that up along with the Petain houses. Too expensive and...

The SW scene has died down a lot from the reports I have read. Some of the local businesses are even complaining that it's no longer as "exciting" and, thus, less of a draw for customers to come down...
-
That might have been a one-off. I am not a local and I was not charged more in the few visits to Geylang over a period of 2-3 years. I was even asked once in a CAT150 house if I was PR?
-
-
I don't believe that the legal houses open before 1 pm, though, there may be some street action. Yes, it is safe to walk around with docs.
-
More honest? What are you talking about? Virtually everybody for the last two years has been saying that the SW scene in Geylang is very poor due to police crackdowns on illegals.
-
Oddly enough, I never really had to queue there.
-
No one ever said anything about organized or chaotic. I was responding to your post where you said that SG is not like some underdeveloped Western European country where you had to queue everywhere....
-
LOL! Queueing is what most Singaporeans do!!!
Ok, in a later post he says that he is doing it late at night. This is good because there will be less traffic but costs go up. They charge more after...
-
It's not just me, look at Econo Tech's post, please. The OP has given himself 3 hours for this adventure. He has to clear customs, find that locker, get to a taxi and then head down to Geylang and a...

I really don't think that it's very do-able. You have to factor in other timesinks such as walking from Changi to the MRT, waiting for the MRT to arrive, etc. Walking from Aljunied MRT to the houses...
-
Thanks for the report! I don't think that it is exactly an FL place like OT; I went there during the daytime for food and it seemed more like a big Thai hangout.
-
There are Thai discos in Golden Mile Complex, which is what I believe you're referring to. I've heard good things but never managed to visit.
