Uzbekistan Hotel seems to be the favorite of turkish mongers (along with Grande Plaza) , so I guess it's "guestfriendly".

She could be from any ethnicity, but I'd bet for Iranian or Tatar.
Uzbeks are descended to a large degree from Tatar invaders whose invasions spanned literally the centuries.
