I saw several reports on value hotels. What about top-quality hotels in Cebu City (not Mactan Island)? I have stayed at the Waterfront Hotel/Casino in Lahug a few times, and liked it moderately...

I go fairly often to Makati for business, and sometimes take a side trip for fun. Last time I tried El Nido Lagen in Palawan, but of course I had to bring a girl with me since there is no action...

My travel agent recommended Shangrila Mactan as the best Cebu resort, but of course I could hardly ask him if it was close to mongering areas and was girl friendly.

Any opinions? Anything better...
