You should check La prensa dot com and click sucesos. This will give you a better idea of what to expect and avoid.

Don't stop there. If you are buying her clothing you are likely paying some form of living expense too. Spend a little longer time there and you'll find you're paying more as time progresses. Semi...

before mitch and massive deportation from the us this place was a playground and those with dollars had the time of their lives. getting jacked was next to impossible back in the 80's, when the...

Sorry to hear the nightlife is so bad. Definitely dangerous though, as you are well aware. Lots of males offering their services but a lot of lady boys out there too. Years ago this place was jumping...

How's this trip turning out? Sort of curious about what really goes on in the big city myself.

This is definitely the best advice you could give anyone. Honduras isn't any better and likely worse, and I still have a terrible time with what once was a broken arm. I thought it woulds be great...
-
Haven't heard any problems but the common street variety hanging on the corner and walking along 1st street likely would present a problem. The homeless, crackheads, and criminal types are the ones...
-
This is the point I tried to make. This place is downright dangerous, and if by the remote possibility some chica you are interested in dating turns out to be the novia, ex-novia, or even hermana of...

Slight hiccup in business about a month ago when the local authorities in SPS cracked down on prostitution inside massage clinics. All back to normal now it appears. Many advertised in mundo...

There are many goregous women in Honduras. Seems at times, the photo does appear a litte scary. But again, a lot of decent looking women. In all my time in Honduras, I've never heard anything about a...

Thanks. Paying double in rent but well worth it. Problem with some apartment / hotel rooms is the ceiling. The ceiling is 2'x4' wood tiles, that allow access to all rooms with simple removal. In my...

La ceiba has changed. This little country town on the coast I remember coming to see back in 1978 is not what it used to be. We are practically on par with San Pedro Sula crime statistics. Every day...

Things have become worse in Honduras. Crime is definitely out of control. The newspaper has a map in it for San pedro Sula, and shows crime that was reported overnight. A normal day was 12-15...

Great suggestion is the Gran Hotel Sula. On the parque, directly in the center of town. Not exactly cheap, as a fairly luxurious hotel. San Pedro Sula is extremely hot this time of year.
-
I'm not really into San Pedro Sula; I live in La Ceiba. Strip joints in Ceiba were good at one time, but they all went downhill.
-
Some of the chicas in San Pedro Sula make piranha's look like goldfish. Far too much to spend; 2500 extra was a fantasy come true for this gal.

I believe Coxen Hole is where the cruise ships dock, and there should be a line up of chicas waiting to make a little scratch. Now again, I understand the price goes up whenever there is a ship in...

Friends who live on the island tell me there is action there. Mostly Morenas, and whenever a cruise ship comes in they are lined up waiting for work. Prices vary, but when the cruise ship is there....

Just returned from a usual visa run to Puerto Barrios. Went into the redlight district and discovered what we have been missing. Caught "ducha" time at the pila in one bar, watching 15 women in all...

Gracias, amigo. Whatever dicovered will be posted. After 8+ hours of busing it, a massage is well deserved but the only place I found had a prune of a woman pushing 70. So uninviting.

I am in Ceiba; Comparing Ceiba to San pedro is like comparing aquacates and sapotes. Totally different. Downtown Ceiba is tame compared to SPS. And surely rents / leasing would reflect the same...

In this country, as any other for that matter, you get what you pay for. Go really cheap, in a barrio you are completely unfamiliar with and it is at best, dangerous. Doesn't take more than a 4th...

Great report. With police, it is always who you know or how many pesos you are willing to swap for your freedom. I was popped in Ceiba yesterday and coming home drunk. I had about 260 liems driving...

Interesting report. I've been doing the visa renewal via Puerto Barrios and haven't wandered around too much there in the last few visits but did locate the red light district past the mercado on my...
