Never run a tab in a hooker bar or strip club or anywhere else for that matter. When you pay drink per drink they catch on right away that there is no way to stiff you so they move on to the next...

Hotel El Castillo is an excellent choice. Staying there was the highlight of my trip. You will meet some good guys there that will help you.

As far as mongering goes you will get better service from the low end MP's in san jose than you would from TJ SG's. However...
