I'm South East Asian and had lived in Medellin for about 10 years and still return there almost every year. That's how I earned that description LOL!
-
Tipping is still not compulsory in Medellin. Maybe the waiter was bluffing, knowing you're not a local. The common question they will ask when you ask for the bill will be: would you like to tip in...

Thanks for the reactions.

When abroad I always use ATM's. Is there an ATM in the arrival hall of Medellin international airport (Rio Negro)?
-
Yep, you're right. I've just checked their "business-card". And I'm mistaken also about the floor both are located. Maybe I was confused because I took different stairs.
Well, checking the...

Haven't been spoiled in that section for a while, so I went looking for providers. Entered ChicasLindas.com and watched the parade. One in particular called my attention: Jennifer. Looked like she is...

Hmmm, the number of hippopotamus on two legs in Medellin, and women with ridiculous, oversized, out of all proportion buttocks is frightening.
-
Gracias amigo, what a relief.
-
I have been away for a couple of years and because of a near return, I started reading this thread. What struck me is the correspondence about tipping for a BBBJ, including CIM or not.
When I...

1. Having negative opinions about others, I. E. All Colombians, is arrogance;
2. As you sow, so shall you reap.
-
You think I'm arrogant? Read the postings you and others made about Colombians.
-
Not stupid in the sense that they don't know the seven-times table, but once their vanity or greed got tickled, they fall and step willingly towards a fata morgana.
-
Someone with a 23 years worth of experience or is a resident for more than 10 years, and is still subject to those so-called "Colombian" treatments? That exposes more about that person than anything...
-
If you mean, that "neat" is incompatible with "businessmen", you understood my message. But if you don't know what the word "neat" itself means, then it's time to consult a dictionary.
-
A better advice would be: leave your arrogance where you came from.
-
So, how many years have you lived in Colombia? How do you know those are words of wisdom and not words that are fed for having been a daft?
-
Please tell me to what city you're referring. I would like to do business in a place where there are only neat businessmen, since the only crook in business has been kicked to the curb! And he´s...
-
Come on guys! Because you all were stupid and let the Colombians take advantage of it, they are the bad ones. You know to what kind of country you were going (third world) , but you let your vanity...

You're the only one making sense.
-
Are you serious? I'm Asian, living in Medellin for years and never been attacked! The only estrangero victims I read about are gringos.
-
Maybe you should mingle more with locals, to learn THE OTHER meaning.
-
I don't agree. I live in Medellin, and depending on the theme of conversation, prepago is definitely used to indicate either prepaid minutes for a mobile phone or a prostitute.
-
I agree with all but one. Great food? Only if you don't mind about variety. One maybe two decent Italian and one decent Chinese restaurant. Good Peruvian food. That's it! No Greek, Turkish, Indian,...
-
Maybe you meant the taxi-fare from el hueco to parque lleras.

What about G-Spot! With exclamation mark. The G can refer to Gents, Girls, Game, Guy's and of course to THE spot.
