The law is clear, visitors are required to have passport all the time. In practice, seldom enforced. I always make multi-copies of passport plus USA offers a $25 passport card, size of credit card...

If you're an avid reader, you'd know the prices as they haven't changed in the past year or so.

Many of the imports don't get in till 4 pm but at 2 pm, you'll find sufficient selection. There is a 150 K entry fee, regardless of whether you stay 1 minute or 2 hours, etc.
