Because of an issue with one of the girls five weeks ago, the Hyatt Regency in Deira is now RED. I was not able to take a girl with me so had to divert to a hotel close for 200 AED. Hope... -

My experience is that they don't care if it is your spouse or not. The reception guys just want to make sure all guests are properly registered. I would not worry about it.
