On a note completely unrelated to poon or Covid, the attached pic. Apparently a high-speed beast is to be built to run from Manila directly to Clark airport. The advertisement does not say the location in Manila; a reasonable guess would be NAIA.

Typical big talk from Filipino leaders who hope to benefit from it. This has been on the books for a number of years. The Manila end is supposed to be Tutuban station in Manila City just west of the Divisoria shopping areas. Why? Because there is already a right of way from the defunct northern arm of the Philippine National Railway. In theory, even the southern arm proceeds up through Manila, crossing under LRT1 at Blumentritt, and then swings south to Tutuban. The right of way has seen people grab the rails of the old northern arm and cash them in for scrap metal. But the right of way is there and visible on Google Earth, dotted here and there with some squatter homes. The old northern PNR was a single narrow gauge rail, whereas the new line will be twin rails of standard gauge.

There is some Japanese authority that is supposed to be building the new line. Interestingly, about three years ago concrete overhead bridge structure was built through Malabon and Valenzuela, but it peters out as it gets into Bulacan Province. Following the old route, it is supposed to go through Malolos in Bulacan and on to Angeles and Clark Field.

But there are other folks opposed to a rail line to Clark, since there are competing interests planning a new international airport for either Bulacan or Cavite. I'm sure it will all unfold in the very near future, just like the new LRT station at Trinoma Mall intended to link the MRT, LRT1 and new lines headed out Commonwealth Avenue and another to transcend Quezon City headed to Recto. It's all right around the corner.

I thought that must just about be ready to launch. In Clark it was planned to arrive at SM Clark mall and then connect to NAIA. It was on the books when I was working there in 2018.

I think you misunderstood the post, I was not referring to its economic impact. When they do reopen they most likely will still be limiting the number of incoming flights / passengers and I expect heavier than usual bookings so an army of FilAms is not irrelevant imo. In the initial wave they will also soak up luxury services / hotels and as such will most likely unbalance demand. With in the Filipino diaspora FilAms are 4 million strong 4 x the Filipino population of Saudi and about the total all of the other Filipinos outside phils combined. When they do start to flood back in at least for US based mongers this does make a difference.

EDIT: Some of the places like the place I'm going in the eastern visayas which I will reveal in a report when I can finally get there only have one luxury resort and a hand full taxis. Overseas Philippines travel to their provinces unlike your normal tourists.

From real past experiences OFW and Filipinos have never stayed in the same hotels I have stayed in nor fucked the same girls I have fucked. Meaning less prior BS rant.
