I prefer to monger in Thai personally but there are benefits to Filipina's and PI. Manila just is not one of the benefits. Unfortunately love it or leave it, Manila is where i work when I am in PI and where I must monger.

Posts: 88Question - Number of Girls
Surfing thru the PI thread in advance of a trip, I hope, it seems like there are really A LOT of girls. That is to say, several cities dedicated to their trade. Here is the question for the experts who know both:
Compare Greater Bkk to Greater Manila - which has more girls?
I've been to Bkk lots of times and PI only once. But from what I'm reading here, seems like there are 10 times as many philippina's on the game. Maybe it has something to do with the overall population. PI 90 mill vs Thailand 62 mill. Obviously poverty kicks in first of all. Plus the heavy US presence for a really long time.
I think I just answered my own question. Still appreciate the expert answers. j

Posts: 251What Happen to Jimmy Regina??
I hope I am not breaking any rules on the board by asking the following. Many of us who use ISG are well familar with Jimmy Regina and his site specifically for Angeles City. It seems his site has been lost. Its to bad if this is the case because this site and his are by far a great resource of information for different reasons. Please forgive me Jackson if I have broken any rules in asking other members this question. I have been a long time contributer to this board and will continue. So what is going on with our comrade Jimmy?

The Euros will be converted into Pesos on arrival then.

Posts: 4567Assume you'll fly into MNL, and you already know what to expect there. You could easily go up to AC for a few days. Last trip I flew out of AC to Cebu.
From Cebu City you can take Ocean Jet over to Bohol Islandor even Dumaguete City, Negros Island. Do some research on Alona Beach (Bohol). Best to take a gal with you.

Cebu sights to see? Tops, St. Nina church. A few others....
Davao has a great combination of friendly people, beaches, mountains, etc. You can find more info on the Davao thread (GE is the Davao guru) and also Dragaonslayer section. Sights to see? Philippine eagles preserve, etc...
I could go on and on about "sights to see", but hey, gotta go to work sometime.
Gladiator asked about p4p, and I would say Cebu is better.

Just recently, some 2 weeks ago, I went to HSBC, where I have a primary Premier account. With ID of course.
Asked them to open an account with HSBC Manila for me.
The lady copied passport, asked many questions for filling an online form and told me thats it. Took 30 mins.
Yesterday got a debit card from HSBC Manila, which works also as ATM card.
Also got info about account number and so on.
Will now top up that account with some Euros and can access then easily pesos over there in PI.
Withdrawal limit as stated 150,000ps per day, what should be sufficient I guess. :D
To conclude, straight forward uncomplicated process.
Cheers!

About 3 years ago, I visited PI for 10 days (7 days in Manila and 3 in Cebu). While I was in Manila, I stayed near the LA Cafe and didn't venture very far (except one afternoon when the young gal I'd met at LA Cafe took me to visit her home).
I may be able to take a 3 week trip between Thanksgiving and Xmas. If so, and if I can find a cheap flight from the US east coast, I may choose to go to PI again because (amazing as it may seem) the US Dollar appears to have held up better against the PI Peso than it has against most other currencies. [I've been looking particularly at Latin American currencies.]
While I certainly would intend to do my share of mongering on this trip to PI, that's not my sole reason to go. I'd also like to enjoy good food and drink while relaxing on beautiful beaches in the company of fun and interesting people.
What do you think is the best itinerary for me? Where should I spend my time in PI? What sights should I see? I'll be traveling alone.

I'm intrigued. Because for sure, your answer could start a deluge of anti American threads. And as you know, we "punk ass Brits are masters of the put down.

A question for those that have visited both: which city is better for mongering: Cebu or Davao?
I mean mainly in terms of number of working girls available, prices and safety.
I've been just once to the PI and hit Manila and AC, and in my next visit I would like to hit some other city, and either Cebu or Davao seem to be the best candidates from what I have read, but I'd like to know if there is some consensus on whether any of these 2 cities is better than the other.

Waterboy. You are on the right track: two weeks is minimum based on the travel hardship. I'm just tuning into the Philippine thread because I'm tired of Thailand and I'm thinking about the PI.
After many years and dozens of trips the LOS doesn't work any more. Too much pollution, stench, Russian mobsters, not to mention the Yakuzaah. Pattaya used to be a laugh riot. Now it's a nightmare. Back to your issues.
It's a long, long way, but if you like girls, (cute, petite, inexpensive, coffee colored asian girls in particular) it's worth it. Even with restless leg, it's worth it. I take the C_thay Pac deal-of-the Month out of LA, SF or NYC for a cheap flight to HK, and move on from there. Look into Cathay. From $800 to $1000 but it beats the others at $1200 plus. Other cheap airfares like the Koreans or Japanese, stop off in Seoul or Tokyo, which is fine, but it makes your final leg another Bear, at 7-8 hours after the 18 hour first leg. Out of HK, it's only an hour or two. After 18 hours across the Pacific, you don't want another 8 hour leg, just to save $75 bucks.
I spent a week in the PI two years ago, mainly in Manila due to business. It is a fun place and imho, polluted like most 3rd world cities, but cleaner than BKK. I invite other PI experts to weigh in here with more details for me and W. B. My experience is limited and I'm going to wade through this thread to get the info, but I wanna go back for a longer visit.
Mainly. Where can you combine great beaches with great chica's? . Like Pattaya used to be. In other words, what is the PI equivalent of Pattaya? I know Manila is fun, but how far do you have to go to get to the best beaches? Thanks for any input and reply's. PM's are AOK.
Thanks,
J
