Within Philippines no restrictions. Very few wear masks. When you enter Philippines have to fill out new app application to get the barcode within 72 hours of arrival.

Not sure what your point is. When I travel the adventure is part of the fun. Going on a bus with locals is part of the experience. Not sure but by your logic, I originally paid about $40.00 usd for my hotel in Subic but I paid more than $200.00 a night in mnl. Should I have paid more for the hotel in Subic to justify my hotel in mnl?

Well by your own account your $40 subic hotel screwed you on the room, wouldn't allow you to even bring your own food in and didn't have housekeeping or an elevator. So you tell me. Maybe you should have paid a bit more.

There are benefits to using local-yokal transport. I've met many 19 yo goddesses in bemos, jeepneys etc on their way to buy a pound of carrots at the market. Even had a couple of bargirls say thanks for offering a free ride back to Manila after the public banca from Sabang.

Not sure there is a good answer to this. City or province, bar girls or SW, there is always a mix. Sex workers are more likely to shave. Non-working gals tend to mix it up.

Business class. Then the pandemic hit. For this past flight just going from lax to mnl and back was around $4,500.00 business class. The voucher was only good until the end of January so barely made it.

Transportation. Thanks to DG8787 for information about private transportation but because I changed my original plan, I took mostly public transportation. Here are some prices for Beeway Travel that I didn't use but might help someone who wants private transportation. Mnl to Angeles is P $3500. From Mnl to Subic is p $6500. These are door to door service. I took the victory liner from pasay to Olongapo whick took about 3 hours and 45 minutes. I used grab taxi when available but in Subic, there is no grab taxi. From the Olongapo terminal to my hotel in Barrio Barreto was P $300 in a suv taxi which was way better than using a trike. From Subic to Angeles I used the van service from the Thumbstar hotel. I believe they started this route not to long ago. The cost for the van was p $995 and took about an hour. You do need to make a reservation for this service. Almost forgot, this is not door to door but one of the stops is in front of Phillys restaurant. My hotel was the Central Park so got off there and basically a block and a half walk. Finally from Angeles to mnl I took the Genesis bus from sm clark to terminal 2. My hotel in mnl was the Okada so terminal 2 seem to be the closest terminal. The cost was p $410.

I had nine nights and this is how I used them. 1st night in Manila to get acclimated so didn't go out. Next three nights in Subic. Then three nights in Angeles and the final two nights in Manila. The last two nights I spent just relaxing, eating like a pig and gambling a lot. No playing around but still had a lot of fun.

Is your passport, e-travel document which is very easy to fill out and your vaccination card or electronic proof. No need to fill out any paperwork on the plane. They scan your e-travel (green) then to immigration which took about a minute. They take a picture of you and they asked only one question. When do you depart. My suitcase came out fast and immigration was a breeze.

Good recap, yes the Thumbstar Van is a great new addition. There is also the Angels Bakery van still but it leaves AC at 0700. It returns from Subic at 1400 though so in a pinch you could come down on the Thumbstar and go back on the Angels van.
