I would suggest wearing a N95 Mask and using alcohol or a good sanitizer during your whole flight.

When I was in Cebu I saw lots of people wearing mask, now that I'm in the province I don't see that many people wearing mask. Actually I saw a mass wedding in Bacolod last week, it was open to the public, 220 couples getting married while wearing masks, that happened on February 20 (2/20/2020).

I personally don't like wearing mask so I don't wear one, not even in the long bus rides (8+ hours trip), what I do always is bring alcohol with me and clean my hands all the time.

One thing I notice is that some airbnb condos will ask you for your travel info if they know you are a tourist. I got lucky that I arrived early in the Philippines (January 10) before the Corona Virus exploded worldwide, so they didn't asked me that many questions. But if you arrived in the Philippines late January for sure they will ask you alot of questions about your health and your where a bouts. Good thing I'm here for 6 months, hopefully by July or August there are not that many flight restrictions, but I doubt it, it seems this virus will stay here for a while longer.

No, you are not alone. I have trip planned middle of March to Philippines and Thailand. I have been watching and reading about Corona Virus. Unless airlines cancel flights I am not going to get refund. Hotels also may loose one night charge.

I am not so worried about getting sick in Philippines and Thailand and will take usual precautions but not sure who these girls have been with. Will I enjoy or regret going?

Also what if when I come back USA will ask me to go on quarantine. That is going to put a bummer. How to explain to my family and friends where I went and why I went. I keep my travels secret. Although I am going direct to Philippines and no stops anywhere still has me worried.

Philippine girls are always sniffling mainly because of their living conditions and pollution. Will it take the fun away. Will I get spooked? What if my neighbor in the plane is coughing. I believe Philippines is understating the threat. For that matter possibly Thailand also.

I guess I need to play it by ear and start making calls to see what's the damage if I cancel. Problem is I always book flights, hotels and chat and agree with the girls for stay and fun well before. Some are real pretty and showed their bodies on cam. All are as I understand normal girls.

I was in Phil between 25 Jan. Up to 15 Feb with a stop in HKG on both arrival and departure.

I did all my trip as usual in manila, cebu, Palawan, Bohol without any specific precautions, only washing hands with alcoholic solution.

I had a temp control when exiting the ferry at Bohol wharf, also a questionnaire to fill in the ferry before arrival but the guy didn't take it back so I still have it with me. Was on 8th of Feb.

Also in HKG airport no specific actions or information, only frontal temperature checked once, and in the flight from HKG to Swiss no masks for the crew.

Then arrived in France no specific actions also.

But, by security I did a 14 days quarantine on myself to avoid any risks for my family and friends. Nothing happens.

I have germaphobe friends trying to convince me to cancel my late April trip to the Philippines, as well as an early April trip from the east coast of the states to Anaheim, California. The current advice from the W. H. O. Is to not cancel travel, but take precautions. Principal precaution is hand sanitizer after touching other people, door knobs, etc. Easy to do that on an airplane. What I'm more concerned about, as I probably telegraphed earlier, is getting flight banned or quarantined in Manila, Tokyo or San Francisco.

You're right but if the OP is concerned enough to raise questions on this board I would recommend delaying his trip. Not because of the probability of contracting Carona but looking over his shoulder every 5 minutes and being constantly worried would suck big time and is not conducive to an enjoyable trip. Better to delay to when he can have a good time with fewer concerns.

Of course if it doesn't concern you then a holiday devoid of K and CHN competition and girls desperate for cash certainly has its benefits. 😀.

The article is not about sensing temperature, its about fake devices being sold to detect bombs. I assume you are alluding to the temp-sensing lasers as being fake or not working. Also, in a quarantining situation regarding fever as a symptom, one of the first and least invasive symptoms to discover is fever. We are going to want to isolate everyone with a fever, and that will probably mean also initially isolating anyone with a suspected fever until it can be determined that the person does not have the virus. If the person claims they are hot only because they were outside in the sun, or exercising, then re-testing temperature a few minutes later will remove these false-negatives quickly from the isolation pool.

Because the people that are experts at this say so.

To make the case. One of these articles says that the system of using the laser-temp devices were only successful in about half the cases. That might sound bad, but even if the devices catch only a small percentage of persons with fever, this would be considered successful, as many of those fevered persons might have the virus. My summer diving trip is also on hold till I can see clearly.

I love our M activities, but I prefer to keep my health as well.
