Exactly what it seems like. I searched all the codes that they quoted and could only come up with him not declaring it and paying tax. Says you can get it back for a 30% penalty though. Not sure why this was even news.

Many times on ISG I have said to be careful. Guys want to bring shit like cell phones in bulk to a country to give out to girls. They are breaking Customs rules by not declaring if you have so many and paying import duty. Guess this guy found out the hard way.

Had the police stop me in rental car, I'm not sure you can even call the police here police but lets pretend they are not traffic crossing guards. Said I ran a red, which was probably true but I was right on the car in front of me so like 5 of us ran the red.

This story reminds me of some advice I was given in Mandaue when leaving hotel going out for a walk. Guy told me to be very careful jaywalking, said I could be one of 20 phils crossing together and cops will only grab me as the only white guy in the bunch. They eventually just gave up and let me off obviously they were going for a payoff, but they should've just asked for one. Keeping my license when I still have a concealed and a passport is kind of pointless threat. Just FYI, I wouldn't suggest renting a vehicle, but I didn't have any serious problems just got sick of having to push my way through traffic with a new Toyota Hilux, I would never drive that way with my vehicle but with a rental I figured ah fuck who cares my credit card company will handle any problems.

Topic moved here. Related story. I was in a condo unit one afternoon and opened WeChat, and went to the 'Find Near Me' function, and selected "Female". It showed 2 girls within 5 meters of me.
