    Ventilators

I keep reading about thousands of new ventilators being needed worldwide in addition to the thousands already in service, Does anyone with real knowledge know what percentage of patients who are placed on ventilators survive and leave the hospital cured? I have always thought being on a ventilator has extremely poor outcomes. I'm sure there is some difference depending on country but the few people I know of who went on a ventilator died in the hospital. My thinking is its a way to bill the insurance company and patients family for a life extending measure. I have a "Do Not Resuscitate" order so I don't think I would be put on one unless my healthcare appointee agreed.

Only in Italy, the number of doctors who have died is in the double digits.

Of course many, many more will die before this is over.

Yes true, and there have been several doctors who have been infected died from coronavirus, especially in Italy and Spain! Also, it's a big concern here in the United States where we have major concerns about a lack of personal protective equipment to protect medical providers from the disease. I tell you man. You just have to wonder about some people sometimes and WTF is going on in their heads, and where they get their information from. SMDH!

Not likely. So AR 3 Doctors have died in the Philippines but no where else in the world so far?

    Stop spreading stupid shit.

Not stupid shit just stupid ignorant people who don't read the news and are badly misinformed. These are links that AussieGaigin refers to in his FR.

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-02-...china/11941948

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/06/w...ronavirus.html

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-51403795

So you don't read any stuff from eminent news sites. Fox. OAN, Breibart etc clearly feeds the masses with garbage that you sadly believe PP.

Facts are facts and I suggest you read the links then tone it down because it reminds of the phrase that goes 'the more you open your mouth the more stupid you show you are' LOL.

I would not wish this virus and anyone especially in third world countries where testing and recovery is a lottery or just for the rich (and I include USA on that list).

That is one smart Filipina who can make up such a detailed story. AND fool the press into publishing it!

  7. #13181

    Another similarly disturbing story

I understand the serious challenges that frontline medical professionals are facing, especially when they're running short of protective equipment. In some of these stories you also have to wonder about sanitation and patient protocol practices. This is obviously a very contagious virus. Comparisons to the common flu are badly misplaced. We in the states would be better off if we could silence the loudmouth-in-chief and let the real experts tell us what is going on. I fear that state governors are being set up as the bad guys.

Yes. That's why my sister's clinic in front of our house was closed after the outbreak.

My sister's patients were seen in the hospital. Not in her clinic.

But she minimized her clinic hours. There's a couple who are both anesthesiologist had CoViD. The husband died already. His wife is still fighting for her life. They only got one kid who has autism. 😢128546;128546;.

I pray that this will be over soon.

This is on top of all the other diseases that don't go away just because we have a new virus, and people who could have easily survived whatever they have but for the overwhelmed health care system.

Half of the people on ventilators are younger folks. Even if they don't die there could be scars for life, literally, in their lungs. There are lots of examples of young people dying within days, I think because they were in close contact with a spreader. A big dose means you get a lot sicker.

The fact that so many people on here (and everywhere) dismiss the fears as hoaxes or compare it to the flu means this thing will get out of control, everywhere. I'll bet with anyone that the curve will not be brought down until it's too late.
I agree with what you say, the problem is that it is very widespread now. I doubt even with 6 months of isolation it will not flare up again. My view is that there should be 6 weeks intense preparation, look for best treatment then support at risk people to stay isolated and allow everyone else get back to normal. Yes there will be casualties but given many people don't show symptoms the risk of flareups after isolation is too great. Allow it to burn out for 12 months then bring out the at risk.

If available product is reducing, and competition is reducing, this would normally result in price increases.

Will this be matched by a lack of demand from punters? Will punters have the same concerns for their health and well-being as the girls do, or will they be primarily deterred by price?

At least here in Canada our magnificent moron is handing out checks as fast as that fucktard can write them.

Funny thing is the SHEEPLE don't understand it will all need to be repaid and our dollar has dropped against the PESO 15%.

Joking aside there will be some real issues there for the next while, good luck!
