I ahve been to Bangkok, Pattaya, Dubai, Europe and many other mongering destinations. Reading the forum makes me look, kL is not so convenient and easy with many options like Bangkok and Pattaya.

Wow, 13 questions in one post must be some sort of record especially from someone who has been to so many mongering destinations without providing information or reports to help others in the past.

Its hard to imagine how you will return the favour with "help in India and Dubai" when you still only ask others to answer basic questions for these places too. Do you actually have any info that will help others?

I'm normally helpful, even to newbies who don't know what they are doing, but there is usually some effort put in first or reciprocation of information.

Its surprising that some members get moderated for life for the slightest infraction but posts like this pass though without issue.

Yikes. This gives the appearance of having not RTTF. Will suggest 5 nights Makati, 4 nights AC. Save Cebu for a later trip maybe. Alternately, 5 nights Makati, 4 nights Cebu city (as post-covid prices have doubled for barfines in AC, and girlie quality and service is reported as having dropped).

I chatted this girl a few years ago, never went anywhere but I'd still see her profile on facebook and tiktok so we'd chat every so often. After a lengthy absense on my part I chat her and find out she's got engaged online. Hasn't met him in many many months but will 'stay loyal to him'. Is that a new house in your tiktok I wonder?. Years go by and finally this Filipina has this old guy in her tiktoks and on facebook. Well good for them I'm thinking, she's got a great looking body and he's getting on in his years so maybe they are happy.

Then I see this on my facebook "can we talk? I thought it was a salesman, been getting spammed with friend requests. Until I realized it was the face of the girl with the guy. So I replied sure we can chat. And then the horror stories comes out. He built her a house, ran out of money while here and she got upset and broke things off. Family dumped him at the airport without a word being said, luggage kicked to the pavement. But he's still using those awful words you hate to hear like "she's a good girl", " we are getting married in 3 months", "I really love her". But the reality hasn't set in yet for him. She's gone "until he comes back with more money". How much money has he spent so far you ask? He even said 'she'd give me back the house if I asked'. Still in denial. Anyone want to take a guess? Years ago before I first travelled to The Philippines my mother's boss owned a big company and had a lot of business deals going on in Cebu. When he heard I was going to Subic and Manila for the first time, he called me and said, "Don't fall in love with them, definitely don't marry them, but have a great time pretending you are." He had married a Filipina and had a few kids with her, but she drained his bank account.

I'm now in my fifties and enjoying life. A lovely 'innocent' Filipina works with me and she's had no exposure to the typical bar scene and is the best worker I've ever had, so I'm not generalizing all the girls as 'Filipina brides', just like there were Russian brides in the 80's and 90's.

By no means do I classify myself as a SD. Sure, I'll pay for a meal, a hotel or a trip to an island for a week. But I know once I go back home for work, some poor guy will fall in love with them and they'll empty their wallets and bank accounts (I see the guys gushing over them on their Facebook accounts).

And I'd never blame an older guy 'falling for a hot little chick.' But the reality check doesn't come into it for a lot of older guys when they're exposed to a fresh little vagina that they haven't been near for years. Or those that have been to the Philippines later in life without doing a bit of research first.

As for the girls, it's basic economics. There's a family to feed, and an extended one at that.

Nothing wrong with being a real SD if you can afford it.

Its been said many times that any logical assessment has LOS beating PI on looks, numbers, accommodation, food etc. The list goes on. Really the only compensation is English, BBFS and GFE. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that most PI visitors come here due to nostalgia or familiarity rather than a logical assessment of alternatives. Many new guys are now choosing LOS, PHN or even the new options, VND, Jakarta etc.

Of course many old hands are sticking with PH but moving away from the traditional MNL, AC, CEB and finding the joys of the provinces or areas less travelled.

I did a comparison about a year ago, between Thailand and Phils each recuperating from Covid with tourist numbers. I think Thailand's pre-covid tourist count was 25-30 million around 2019. After their covid re-start they were at about half that, and now back up to their pre-covid numbers of 27 million last year (picture).

This is in contrast to Phils, which had about 5 million in 2022 (down from about 9 million pre-covid), and little or no change last year.

An interesting comparison between current Phils and Thai numbers: Phils #1 inbounds are Koreans (by far). Checking the article (pic), Thailand visitors are Malaysian, Chinese, Singaporean, and Indian (Koreans further down the list). Thailand tourism has recuperated well without much Korean help; Philippines is very dependent on it. What makes Phils more desirable than Thailand to Koreans?

One thing is Thailand has eased some visa requirements to get tourists back and have been promoting tourism from surrounding countries. Also Thailand was quicker to drop covid rules than the Phills. I may have missed it but have not seen much effort from the Phills into promotion.
